Olipifirovash People

Postby Gary Connor » Sat Jul 31, 2004 4:52 pm

I don't understand how Olipifirovash can have so so so many people and still not be a good town. There are 3 councilers, 2 of which do nothing, and thats it. I mean, there are usualyy over 50 people there, not to mention people inside buildings, and if they actually got organised, they could become one of the greatest empires there ever was! Does anyone else feel this way?

Depends on if they tried to expand into their neighbors lands.. ;)

If they tried that i think it would be a shortl ived empire, cause the Stone Knights wouldnt like it much.

I have to agree--they could do it, if the Stone Knights weren't there.

well i think that if they worked together first, and actually made a guard, they could take the Stone Knights. I mean, i know from experince's, that the Stone Knights are the easiest people to steal from, They lack unity. I have seen there members turn on other members and end up being killed, not by the clan, but by other normal citizens who have to keep and eye on them.

I've had chars in olip for 20 cantr yrs, and i've seen the problems arise outside. I still don't know the names of over half the people there, because the players create their characters, and leave them there, doing absolutely nothing. the unity comes in to play big time when it comes to city development. There's quite a few buildings, and most of them are personal ones, not businesses. as for the councilers, I'm pretty sure there's only Alex and Henry. I think Harry was forced to resign, as he was becoming too powerful for the citizens liking.

what needs to happen is someone's gotta get a structured government in place there, with everyone helping out in some way.

That incident was only because of rouge clansmen out for their own good, good job on killing them whoever did ;) i think everyone from the forst agrees. They may be the easiest to steal from, but how many of these theives live? I cant think of any.. :)

The Stone Knights lack unity...good one. Olip is lucky the Stone Knights don't flex their muscles and use it as another home for some of the clans people. They should count themselves lucky Crag is the make love not war kind of guy that he is :P
People don't change....perceptions do.

If the Trade Federation was still around the clans would have owned the entire Olips already, stone would have pushed for it.

I don't know what is is about Olip, but I just find the town incredibly boring.

It's strange...beacause they have their part of drama, interesting characters, an established religion etc, but it doesn't change the fact that I almost desert my character there :)

well, i know this isn't breaking the Captial Rule, cuz there is a topic on chars, but i am Harry. Harry tried to push for a proper government there when he was a counciler, but nobody listened, excpet for a few people. I was forced to resign because a woman called Lily Douglas didn't like me, and she got her 2 friends, the Emissary and her husband Blaine support her, and try and get me kicked, and i talked it over wit the other councilers, and i decided to resign. I shouldn't have, becuase i was the only counciler that actually done anything, i made the first jail there, i wrote up the laws, i had plans for a judicla system but none of the councilers cared, cuz they're too lazy, and i don't know how Counciler Henry is on the council, in the past 10 years, he has said something about twice, and it wasn't much, infact, it was only in private. and even now when im not on the council, the other counilers are still asking for help, i am making copies of keys for the jail for them, using my own very expenise iron. :D I'm telling you, if eveyone in Olip worked together, including the people in the buildings, They could take the Stone Knights, Olip has a population of over 60, and i think thats more than the Stone Knights, and with the resource's that people have in the town, they could easily have sabre's built and destory the forest. Not that we'd want to, but we could.

But a lot of Olip's "guard" is made up of Stone Knights...so I really don't think they would have a chance to build up an army like that without being noticed.

They have a lot of journalists though, even if few of them ever get anything done

Gary>

Lilly and Blaine never married. I know this because I play Blaine. Lilly is now dead, and has been for about 2.5 IC years.

As far as resignation, there was a petition, and it was about even. If that's not the case, please, show me something that I can go with on that.

I have to say, I think the Stone Knights should take down Olip. So they have a lot of people, but I wouldn't say "more". The Stone Knights have how many locations under their control? They could easily temporarially recruit an army in all of those locations, and send them all to Olip to overpower them. Hell, I'd support them, I hate Olip - it is boring, and nothing gets done. A thief takes something, and everyone sits around. With practically 50 people outside, you think SOMEONE would wake up and take presuit... nah, too lazy.

The only thing I wouldn't like, is if the Stone Knights took over the peaceful locations, like Blojt, Olip West, and beyond there. They're really nice places, with good development in their society structure and economy - to have those people that made them so good die, would be really sad.

The people that made blojt good have died long long ago my friend, Wu Tang made blojt how it is, nothing much has changed since his death at all. I wouldnt mind seeing blojt go down... ;)

Olip West.. thats Mathiest or whatever his name right? I like him.
