But it is not for a reset Cantr, that would be a waste, of a perfect idea and of a special game.

We're so far off the idea of a reset Cantr that this might as well be titled "Random Thoughts and Any Old Kind of Thing You Feel Like Saying About Cantr."

Would be nice to have a fresh start with not abundance of everything and new island and places to see

Towns a little more clustered together, with the clusters spaced apart.

It would be nice to have three or four towns very close together and easy to move between on foot (with similar resources, maybe like Bhak), so you can have a change of scenery fairly quickly, but then getting to other 'clusters' would take time. Sort of like how on ancient maps you see a lot of little settlements along a river or something, then nothing for a while.

That's an awesome idea. It would either
~ foster a sense of community among them
~ or create rivalries or factions
~ or maybe one would dominate the others
~ so many possibilities!
In any case, it's a great way to get characters moving and interacting especially if they have very different resources.

It would be interesting also if the towns had different perks and restrictions like:
~ Only one town is able to domesticate animals
~ Only one in a cluster would have accesses to a sea or lake
~ Towns would have random limits on how many building they could build (and they wouldn't know until they tried to build another one)
~ Towns with no resources at all or no animals
~ Towns where vehicles couldn't enter so they could only be accessed by foot
~ Only one town would have a road going into the mountains and they were able to put a gate (like a coastal harbor) on the road with a lock.
~ In fact, all roads should be able to have locked gates (if you didn't want to be a slave, you shouldn't have spawned there)
Yay!

I'm sure this has been suggested before, but have land vehicles work the same as boats, just... on the land instead of the water- e.g. "Your vehicle hits a coast and stops". You could also see land vehicles from the map like you can see boats, too.

You could also have certain mountain ranges or really dense forests that are unsurpassable (unless you have a certain steed or vehicle type - mountain goats?? ), leading you to have to find a windy way through or around. Either you can see these automatically through the map colours (e.g. darker greys for unpassable mountains), or there's no visual cue and it's up to the players to map their way around and spread the word... or not.

I just love the idea of a secret mountain passage leading to an untapped gem mine, okay.
