Come on people. I have noticed that its not that many people who play this game. We need to rally together and bug the_______________out of
insert bad word here
everyone we meet about this game. I know I have asked everyone where i work if they would join. its beginning to get on their nerves right now. maybe they will crack soon.

One guy cant do this alone. I have seen many uninhabited lands that need more people in them. I post a flyer in the break room every day and they rip it down every day and i put another back up.

Let go and get them to join.

*runs down the hall putting guns to everyones head telling them if they dont want the world to blow up then join Cantr

Anyways I have gotten letse...1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8 people to join. I believe only 1-2 are still playing.

That is where the Aeris incidents spawned from (one of my 'recruits')... With such side effects as no longer having html note titles

I got quite a lot of people to create accounts (by being annoying, mostly), but I think only two of them are still playing.

Cantr is one of those games that you have to get the hang of, or you hate it. So recruiting people usually does not work, not many want to sit there and understand. So they quit, or cause trouble to get killed.

I agree that coercing friends into playing probably is not a good idea. My sister only lasted two days in spite of my browbeating........
However, I think making sure that Cantr is listed and ranked on all of the multiplayer game directories is a good idea. That is how I found this game.

My cousin played off and on for a year or so (one of his chars was glioera fwudebode near Blojt) and i succeeded in getting a friend at school to try it for a couple week sbut he got bored. Ah well.

I guess you just sort of have to find it on your own.

I noticed that Cantr is not listed at many of the sites that place banner advertising on the login page. I would do it but I am a fairly new player and really don't few that I can describe the game in the best and most appropriate manner.
Or perhaps there is a reason that Cantr is choosing not to list with some of those sites and I am not in on it :)

i got my brother to play... he gets it pretty well for a ten year old
but seriously, if you meet him in the game and you can tell that he's ten, i'll mail you twenty bucks for being psychic.

I almost got two friends to play... Then one of them lost their internet connection because the bill was 400 dollars due to the fact that they use the intenet with 5 people iun the house and continuous ly donwloading songs with only 200 mbs bandwidth... The other friend didn't get the confirmation soon enough, he hasn't got it yet.... and he just got bored of waiting...

I think it takes a certain kind of person to play Cantr.. or at least to play good, (if there is a "good" way of playing). There are just too many people going for some goals, like getting iron or something... It's so silly when a newspawn gets digging hematite before he even has food. Ain't that a CR breach - using the knowledge that you can make iron from it?

It might not be... I mean they might just *thought* hematite was food like I thought tomatos were normal food when I first started. I dont even know what hematite is in RL...

But digging hematite combined to constant questioning about how to make iron? *Rolls her eyes*

Convincing people to play can work, if you are willing to sit there and explain to them how it works. (It works better if the person you are convincing at least has SOME kind of experience with Roleplaying/roleplaying games.)
