Yes talking about reasons not to play characters in game is not that good a look , I'm surprised the positivity police are not here already.

If people are pretty sure that they're never going to play a character again, find a way to kill it off. PD can give heart attacks, but then your character creation is locked for half a year or so. Which is good if you can't resist the urge to spawn more when you're bored. If you can't even play your existing characters then why would a new one be any better? A newspawn has no social circle, no friends, no equipment and often no established personality.

For some characters I've witnessed and played, these are advantages of a newspawn over established characters, not disadvantages.

On topic, "I sleep because my player has better things to do for a while but hopes to wake me eventually" x ~7 (I don't feel like actually counting).

I love sleeping in real life. Sometimes I sleep 16 hours a day.

I sleep because my player is moving cities, but still managing to work 10+ hour days...

(Hopefully I'll be less stressed and busy soon... hopefully)

I sleep because my player sleep. Or is half asleep. Most of the day.

I sleep because I made too many characters for me to handle originally. I'll be down to five shortly, then maybe I'll wake up a little more. ^_^

Because there too much serious business going on with other characters.

Well, last 15 months have been absolutely crazy for me. I left home, got divorced so now I'm a single mum, have been having stress at work and most recently had an operation on my left shoulder and I've been signed off work for two months. I'm left handed so having that arm in a sling isn't helping much. I'm on a cocktail of painkillers and it's going to be a long, slow recovery aided by physiotherapy, etc. And there are people demanding my attention almost 24/7... But no complaints on my end for that. That's a very welcome disruption. So... My chars have been asleep for a long time, and they are likely to remain so for a while yet, although I'm making a token effort with some, ha.
Anyway, here is my long overdue explanation. That will be all, so long till the next rare, free moment, folks. Keep the green world going.
