Islands

Are there only the islands seen on the maps I found....or are there some that are not on well known maps?

It would depend on which maps you found? I'm not even sure if we're allowed to answer that, even if the maps of the world are pretty common IG.

But that BETTER be all the islands there are. World's big enough as it is.

There are roughly five more each the size of Treefeather, they're called the Gullible Isles.

There is no official in-game map, and all maps are player-made. We can't discuss them out-of-game, but if your characters run into any older sailors or go to any decent town libraries, chances are they'll have one of the better maps that have a fairly complete picture. However, my most prolific sailor (who had a massive collection of maps) even had a few maps for islands that he had no idea where the actual islands were.

Wow!
Cantr II is a social simulator. What is not working is due a problem in the society.

See, this means that what's needed is a strange geographic disturbance that raises an island out of the middle of the sea somewhere, with about 10 "location nodes" on it, and then announced.
And half of us watch the boats scatter as one or more of each player's characters scurry to be the Discoverer! :P
