? about PD killing characters off by request

Did I read somewhere that PD was back to being open to killing off characters by request? I deleted all the announcements on the main page and cant find anything on here. I have 3 characters still alive after my absense that I just cant bring myself to start playing again and would prefer a fresh start. Of course I have room so I can just leave them asleep but figure I'd kill them off if possible to get them out of the way. Any help appreciated.

Yes, PD will kill off characters for you, but it has to be for an OOC reason and the trade-off is that you cannot spawn any more for... six months, I believe.
If you plan on playing new characters, I suggest you spawn them before you request the old ones be killed.

I think it's actually that you can't kill off characters that way again for six months. Because when I had my characters killed off, I could spawn more instantly after, but I was informed that I couldn't kill them with heart attacks for six months.
Anyways, I'm interested in having some killed off myself, been over 6 months. But I sent in the request almost 2 weeks ago now and haven't heard from PD or seen anything happen. :s

So click the X, email support to have your account reactivated. That's quicker.

Just in case any of them are 70 years old or more, any of you, you can have them die of old age by going to the character's settings page (the same one with the filters) and clicking the last tab.

You can also find or make poison for them. I know some did so.

Any player wishing to have a character removed may send a written request to the Players Department, using the link 'Contact Cantr II Departments' top left of the Players Page.
We will take a minimum of 24 hours to consider any requests.
Though we evaluate all requests on a case by case basis, there are some very important guidelines:
- All reasons for removing characters must be OOC. We will not be supplying a tool to aid anyone's roleplay.
- Further, your account's new character creation ability may be blocked for a time following deletions.
- Multiple requests from the same player within the same six month period will be automatically rejected.
- Any public discussion about yours or anyones else's character deletion will carry an automatic rejection.
- Disruptive rp will carry an automatic rejection. The character's behavior should not be altered, just as it is not when an account idles out, or a player unsubscribes.
- Young characters will not be considered for deletion but for exceptional circumstances of spawning.
-There is a 6 month lock on character creation by default

Thanks Alladinsane. I knew i had read it but couldnt find it.
I just wanted to get a few out of the way so I coudl have a fresh start with new characters so doesnt work for me. I'll just block them out on updates and forget they are there

There's no reason you can't press the X and reactivate, though. Doesn't take more than a day. Unless of course you already made new characters, then never mind.

Wouldn't that kill off all of their characters? It seems like they just want to ax a few, not clean their entire slate.

I have some characters that I want to keep and some that I just cant bring to wake up. So cant X and kill off the couple that I want to keep

Please, please...the ones you don't want to keep...fill their inventories up so no food can be given. It kinda makes it clear to the characters around you then

I've always wanted to have a character RP'd out with a weak heart, and get them killed by heart attack when something stressful or strenuous happens. Alas, I don't think there's a way to do that since it'd be IC, not OOC.
