I notice some of the empty stories use a [0] next to the character name. That's a system everyone should adopt, listing how many stories they have, so anyone interested in that char can see at a glance that there's been an update.

Wont be needed as I am working on something that will automate that :)

Any plans for a comments section?

I think he mentioned wanting to set one up, but only the story's author would be able to read them.

Eventually, yes. :) Want to work out some other things before expanding on that idea.

That is the idea for right now. The idea is that if someone wanted to comment/ask about something regarding the story/character, it could be a more one on one type thing. It will also remain anonymous (the asker/commenter will default to "Anonymous" and the Character's owner will only be seen as the characters name).
If there is a big enough demand for a more public option, I can make that happen as well, but for now, this is the direction I think would be best.

Public comments tend to lead to threads of people arguing about stupid things. I keep having to remind myself on places like YouTube, "never read the comments".

True, but I'd be interested in people's comments. I'd also be more incentivized to put up stories if people could interact with them.

^This.

What sort of interactions do you mean?
Another option (if there is enough interest) would be to let the owner of the character select an option to allow/disallow public comments separately from the private ones. That might be a decent compromise.

I like that compromise!

Yes, I do too. As for interaction, I think comments (if the owner can control disabled/public/private) and likes are fine.

That is an interesting take on things. Video narratives would be a cool addition, I will look at adding that to work on later.
On a side note, updates are all on hold. I upgraded to Windows 10, and there are still a couple holdouts in regards to some of the development tools I use. I hear that it will be a short wait, so we will see.

Agreed, I enjoy the video testimonials! It would be interesting to see one from the perspective of the character, too.

No new stories for a while. Although I'm guilty of that myself.

I noticed this too. Problem for me is, the most interesting stories I have are still in progress.
I may have one or two short entries to add soon, and I hope others do too because I was really enjoying reading them when the site first started up.
