Okay folks, it's the weekend now! Let's write some history!

Seriously I see only 16 names, five of them for characters less than a year old, and most of them without stories attached. I'm excited about this site and was hoping to see more people taking advantage of it. Especially those of you with characters from way, waaaay back.

Exactly what I was thinking. Or if that's not possible, maybe a message can flash occasionally on the "Did You Know?" section.

Greek will probably put it in an announcement once its bugs are worked out. Hopefully. I'm unable to write because password recovery isn't implemented yet.

Definitely! It seems the next update will include # of stories next to a character's name, so that's one improvement. However, being able to simply sort stories in order of "last updated" would be perfect.

So this is to tell stories of characters.. correct? So you can one spice it little bit by writing about "supernatural" things that have happened to character (no flying or anything, but more like schizophrenic, or similiar visions in sleep or something like that) but that have happened/appeared only for that certain character?

I'd say it's just like RPing that kind of thing in game, there'd be no issue with writing about what the character believed they heard or saw.

I've got several characters I'd like to write stories for... but I'm playing from a phone and don't really want to go through all or even most of my old emailed day reports to make sure I remember important things. Once I get laptop access again then I can really get some stories up.

If there appears to be a lot of interest in such a thing, then maybe something can be added. Could do a "best of the month" type thing or something.

There will be something like that added eventually. Right now, the idea is that the comments would remain visible only to the owner of the character, and the person who wrote it.

Doubtful as this is not an official Cantr project, nor linked officially to Cantr in any way. It is also a long ways away from being ready for mass usage (still need to iron out bugs and add features).

You can write about anything relating to your character. If they felt they were flying, then write about it, but remember that such things could only be figments of their imagination since they couldn't of really happened.

On a final note, was hoping to have an update release today, but things are a bit more hectic than I anticipated. Depending on when my dad gets out of surgery on Monday, I will probably be able to wrap something up then.

I did just try to add a character and got an error message...it was working fine when I tested it the other day so I don't think that's the only reason for the current lack of stories, but I guess the site does still need ironing in a few places.

What was the error message, or was it just a general error?

I log in and go to add a character, I get the 'Whoops, looks like something went wrong.' message.

Ahh, it appears to be linked to a little update I pushed the other day, I will get that fixed up and post back when done :)

Will need to wait til Monday night to do any fixes, unable to sit long enough at a computer to work on anything, sorry :(

Just curious what other lines there are beside of CRB and 4 day rule? I might want to write something myself up too there. But I don't want to break any rules so better make sure

'Ongoing events' is a general rule separate from the 4 day one. Seems to me like some of Lapallanch's stories blurred the lines there, but maybe it doesn't matter as much with throwaway newspawn chars. (Someone go get riled up about the phrasing there in the other thread now )

Just as a rule of thumb if consider 'history' as the operative word. Situations that are over and done with. Keep in mind too that anyone can read these and if you give away anything sensitive you'd be trusting every other player not to let that knowledge color their interactions with your char.

Alright, thanks for clarification Writing with stories there's always chance that other players might let it color interactions with you but I guess that's nothing new there.
