The first time this made me cringe, and I was gonna let it go hoping the RPer was making a mistake and forgot they weren't visible to the people on the radio, but now it seems like a habit or something:

You hear from radio at freq. 100: "...[removed dialogue]... * he smirks* "

I mean, really? Ugh. And this isn't the first time, either. No one can hear you smirking over the radio... "chuckles" is the same basic emote but can be heard, what's wrong with *he chuckles*? or *he makes a soft derisive snorting sound, such that one might imagine the speaker wearing a smirk*? Come on...

On a positive note, I do really appreciate when other people use overly descriptive and flamboyant emotes and long-winded character dialogues. Even the ones that seem too much or overkill or hard to read, are pleasant in the refreshing emotion they bring to the RP, I have deep characters but don't often find the time and motivation to RP them as deeply as they're meant to be, they become repetitive and it makes me sad, but some of you really put everything into their speeches and flashy attitudes and I love that, and it gives me more to react to in-game and get my own characters rolling more easily.

That same thing annoyed me, actually, but I didn't know where to complain.

This reminds me of the ASCII art Satrap the Cynic used to broadcast over the radio. A radio smirk is nothing lol.

Okay, this made me lol. How would you even interpret that IC? ...a series of taps that form a pattern that when transcribed on a note form a picture and hmm...I regret my characters never getting a chance to 'hear' this, might have been fun...

I recall someone reacted by saying they'd been sitting around the radio too long, they were starting to hallucinate. Someone else thought they were having visions inspired by broadcasts from some unearthly source.

It just occurs to me that I've never heard a Cantrian theorize about the existence of aliens...

I thought of the same thing just recently. How come Cantrians have very little superstitions, even though there have been unexplainable phenomena such as warping ships? Those could be seen as alien abductions but no one has explained it as such.

There's been talk of sea monsters over the years. I wish there were more superstitions. But they die out because people are dead opposed to following. There's so many one-person religions.

One of mine believed in reincarnation as an explanation of 'where do newspawns come from?' and 'where do people go when they die?'.

Another believed in a giant snake demon like thing (though he didn't know of snakes to call it that) which lived roughly where the above character ended up spawning, spoke to him in his dreams since the first night after he spawned and took his friends and neighbours away by making them sleep until they died. I sort of thought of him dying when I unsubscribed as him finally losing his own fight against it after 20+ years - he never did sleep easy for long.

I've heard about the sea monsters (and to be fair, it is in the wiki!)
I've also heard about a giant swamp creature, and a haunted road, which I think came from some sort of database glitch?
I haven't heard about warping ships, though!

My oldest character still remembers warping ships. He would have some cool stories if only anybody were to listen.
