I've been working on and off on a suggestion for a ridiculously large window/door revamp. On the one hand, it'll create a larger business for builders, and will pave the way to really cool houses, as well as a lighting system I've got in my head, but on the other hand, it's easily so large and possibly so confusing that it might be completely ignored.

Who's satisfied with the current state of windows? This would add window glass, curtains, metal bars, breaking in/out of windows, etc.

I am satisfied with the current windows... But at the same time I do like choices.

Also, i would love curtains. I already describe some in the description of my home but it would be neat to be able to actually hang them or describe them on the window or something. Are windows describable? I'm not so sure...

That seems to be an OP description since you need materials for curtains. And windows don't require them. Can only see that not being OP if you have cotton/silk/wool/hemp cloth lying around and specify that it's been draped over the top of the window to make makeshift curtains. But even then it's difficult because the material is technically still usable, so someone picking it up would be them tearing your curtains down.

This is at least how I understand the rule. Like you can't say a pair of boots have gold buckles because they can't have them, it doesn't use any gold to make them. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, I'd love for curtains in my characters homes.

A bit off topic but wouldn't it be cool if there was a system that allowed adding anything to anything that can be custom described, and it would be somehow visible, and after that you could include it in the custom description? Because it seems unlikely that there will ever be for example a bone and gold item, since it's combing two so vastly different valued resources, yet if you could add gold to your bone earrings as a custom addition, then it wouldn't have to be a preprogrammed choice.

I'd also like that, I'd love to add a dangling ruby to hoop earrings, or gold buckles to boots. I usually just say the metal has been tinted a different colour, or painted. And I'd love to add gold to my various weapons.

A question like this should have a poll included, but that is just my opinion.

At this point, I've done so much research that Google is showing ads for curtain rods and window repair people in Gmail.
