Write down what your characters would like to wear/own for a change of clothes, if resources and accessibility weren't an issue.


#1 pretty much likes what he has but maybe he could use a flashier longcoat, something like Captain Hook has in Peter Pan, and maybe some conquistador pants for good measure.

#2 already has a wide wardrobe, so it pretty much covers every occasion. It's a good thing clothes don't deteriorate because some have been owned for decades and should be threadbare by now, if Cantr was a logical world. A fur coat, tights and some lingerie might be good additions.

#3 has a small wardrobe but is content with it. He has his own style and I wouldn't change anything about it.

#4 is planning to make a topaz fang ring when she finds a work bench. Beyond that, her clothes should stick to a primitive theme. It would be nice to have some fitting winter clothes but I don't see her ever wearing anything with a zipper (she doesn't even know what they're called).

#5 needs something warm for next winter or toes and fingers might start turning black and falling off. He has a unique style but he has sort of outgrown it and could use a makeover. Also something waterproof for rainy days and sailing would be good.

#6 has a pretty good set of clothes now but is planning to get a padded coat for next winter. I think she would appreciate a scarf and a beanie if there was any access to wool, but I don't think there are any woolly animals on the island.

#7 pretty much hates most of her clothes. She would like to look pretty but believes she's generally ugly and it couldn't be fixed with just clothes. It would take a total makeover and an attitude adjustment.

#8 is pretty satisfied with his wardrobe. Some sort of a long-sleeved shirt might be a good addition, but overall he's got pretty much everything a modest man could hope for.

#9 is currently pretty oblivious to his appearance (or smell). He could use a makeover. I think he could make a good dandy. In the past one couldn't make an emotional attachment to clothes because they were going to get torn and bloodied by animal attacks anyway, but now with a good shield, there might be a chance to remain intact.

#10 cares surprisingly little about clothes despite being an expert tailor. She doesn't have any winter clothes so she just stays inside when it's cold.

#11 would love to have some better materials for making clothes - any sort of fabric or wool yarn.

#12 just wears what she has been given and doesn't know anything about tailoring. Likes warm things for winter.

#13 has the potential to be a total fashion doll. I would imagine her wearing a silk bolero if such existed in Cantr. She would generally only wear things that are stylish but she's going to need an apron to protect the other clothes when doing manual labor. She hasn't seen winter yet as far as I can remember, but if she had to go out during cold weather, it would only be wearing something stylish.

#14 has quite a bit of clothes, although maybe half of them were found on the ground next to a dead body (it doesn't show). She might even be overdressed, but she's lacking winter clothes, save for a couple of knit wool items.

#15 is just working on a greatcoat for next winter. He has leather pants but he's sort of chubby, so something more relaxed might be better. I'm also thinking of making a silk kurta for him provided that he gathered enough cocoons. I can't remember how much he gathered.

#1 Is very happy to not be wearing shoes and stays inside when it snows but will put shoes on for appropriate occasions, would like a motorcycle jacket even though it is in direct contrast with her outfit and maybe a nice piece of jewelry not made of bone

#2 is already beautifully dressed in silk, but a little more silk wouldn't hurt if she could find the time to make it. Would love to make a locket of silver but would settle for gold for her daughter and probably wouldn't mind a matching one

#3 has already gone from desert wear to mountain wear and again is happy with her well-made knitted, crocheted, and denim clothes but despite being anything but delicate would love some silk but is much, much happier making clothes for others than herself.

#4 Has been eyeing that leather jacket in the tailor shop since the first time he went in there. Maybe a shirt for under his vest but is otherwise quite happy with his leather.

#5 Has one job, look good shirtless and he excels at it so he needs nothing except maybe some outerwear for storms at sea.

#6 Is primitive but has discovered leather and is quickly building herself quite a wardrobe but doesn't know any materials other than hemp and leather, I picture her a bit like Rousseau from Lost. Though she has rubber boots so maybe rainwear, especially if there is bad weather when she finally gets to the beach.

#7 Is newly spawned and naked so would pretty much be happy with anything

Have to think, I've not done all of them.

1. Could definitely do with some waterproofs but for now would be happy with something warm for when it gets cold again. She really wants to dress to impress though and hide just doesn't do that. Leather pants, a shirt and some silver jewellery would make her happy.

2. She has mostly what she needs but would love to eventually have some leather shoes or boots and a warm coat.

3. Has what she wants, even more than she wants, but would really look nice in some gems.

4. Doesn't care about clothes at the moment but I'd like to see her in some crocheted stuff and a beanie.... not up to me though. She has her own mind.

1. Couldn't care less what he wears, though the fur pants are starting to get a bit warm.
2. Is currently wearing leather and loves it, but she wants some boots, something sexy but practical for wearing on a boat.
3. Clothes obsessed! She really wants something made from silk, the more luxurious the better. Her prize possession is a fancy fur cloak.
4. Would like some pants, he's been wearing nothing but a pair of briefs since the day he spawned.
5. Sensible clothing, pants preferably. She is mostly happy with what she has but wants something cotton as the weather warms up. In contrast to her clothes she likes jewelry, topaz in particular.
6 He is a worker in a lumber mill and is happy with what he has, sturdy boots and hemp, with a pair of work gloves.
7 Something smart, perhaps a suit with a nice shirt.
8 Pretty princess clothes please! She's currently wearing a hide dress and would love something prettier.
9 Whatever is going is fine, as long as he's covering the important bits.
10. She is happy with her cotton robe for now, but likes things that are flowy and don't cling.
11 Hemp and cotton, he is a soft man, a bit hippy like. He would probably like something like thai pants.

1 is perfectly happy with what he's wearing now, all the pretty stuff just gets in the way...
2 would like some nicer boots, these furry ones are too warm for now...
3 is perfectly happy, and pretty much able to get anything he wants where he is now.
4 wouldn't mind some nicer trousers, but doesn't need anything else.
5 is a tailor, who made himself quite a good outfit. Might need to find a slightly different hat though...
6 would like a shirt of cotton instead of hemp, and maybe a raincoat.
7 would like some different pants... but well, she likes them, so it's quite okay.
8 is perfectly happy with her newly made set of clothes
9 wouldn't mind a corset, though she's quite alright like this
10 wants a nice emerald necklace... Not a teardrop one
11 is perfectly happy with her leather outfit.
12 is comfortable, so that's good enough. He really couldn't care less about how he looks
13 doesn't care at all, but just more clothes wouldn't be bad.
14 Is quite happy, though a bit cold...
15 a nicer headband would be nice

1) Doesn't care what she wears, so long as it is weather appropriate and is comfy to work in.
2) Won't wear anything other than silk, except for footwear. Her wardrobe is huge, but she'd love to have a glorious gown.
3)She's very happy with what she has; jeans, croc skin boots and jacket, and a decorated bustier and all, however, she'd love to have a fur coat.... Soon... And pyjamas. She'd love to have sleepwear. She's making due with a cotton shirt and shorts, but a satin set would be lovely for this posh lady.
4) Another silken maiden. A gypsy/boho attire with colourful silks would be great for this char, and a silver anklet with emeralds. Perhaps I should suggest that. Her wardrobe is also huge.
5) Anything delicate would fit this char. Very ladylike and demure, she could be dressed in a well cut skirt suit, and court shoes.
6) A casual attire suits this char the best, and she's happy with what she has.

...is happy just to have decent clothes. She isn't materialistic enough to care about make and model, so to speak .
..wouldn't mind something nicer than all the leather she has. Maybe some silk. Though to be fair she has only ever encountered leather and hide.
...wears a bucket on his head for a hat. He doesn't mind clothes lol
...wears nothing but oversized silk and clogs, and isn't inclined to change that
...wears nothing but denim and furry legwarmers. She'd like something a bit heavier for the winter though.
...is happy that her dress doesn't get in the way of hunting down badgers. She'd like a silver wreath crown thing though.

I think there's something of a pattern here lol

1.- I think he would prefer something cleaner, but apart of that... maybe something for the rain?
2.- She needs a black T-shirt. Why don't we have T-shirts in cantr? Apart of that, -and even if she will never confess it-, each and all her clothes have been carefully chosen and she likes them all.
3.- Are there any clothes to make him love her? If so, those. xD
4.- Denim trousers. And shoes. And maybe a hat or something like that. And something for the rain.
5.- Clothes? Meh. This is enough.
6.- Oh! Can she have more clothes? Anything will be awesome!
7.- All her clothes have something sentimental, so her clothes are good enough.
8.- Same for him. His clothes are her last remind.
9.- A non-itchy shirt would be great. And something for the cold weather.
10.- She is my char with more outfits, I think. She only lacks confortable shoes.
11.- She wants tight lengh boots. And another sexy outfit would be great. She have a leather one and a silk one, and a negligée and some other things... but, well, she likes clothes.

I just want a raccoon, and I'd carry it around like a pocket pet inside a duffel. He'd stick his little furry head out and chatter at people, and I'd kick him because he was so damn cute and I wouldn't be able to stand it.

Actually, I think the "cotton shirt" could easily be viewed as a t-shirt...

*goes and reads new suggestion thread* Hmm, it must be nice being the one who makes all the clothes.

But anyway I've been meaning to do mine:

1.) Is very happy that thanks to a friend she's at least no longer wearing any of that awful hide stuff, but to be taken seriously as a professional she really feels she needs a silk dress with a few simple but elegant accessories. She's got a list written down but she's just so busy busy busy every moment, who knows when she'll have time for such frivolities.

2.) Shoes would be nice. There's a lot of walking to do, and the mountains are so cold. And pointy.

3.) This wool stuff was nice and warm in winter but now it's just AWFUL. And hide moccasins are the ugliest things, like wearing sacks on the feet. A pair of hemp trousers, long sleeved cotton shirt, some ordinary leather shoes and maybe a hair tie and she'd be good to go.

4.) Who cares about clothes? As long as this hide thing I found on the ground keeps people from staring at me it's good enough.

5.) Beaded hemp tunic, knee-length skirt, leather sandals. Looks good, and practical. But again, no telling when she'll ever have the time, and if there's any tailors in a five town radius, they're all asleep like everyone else.

6.) Feathered everything! Also some dress loafers because they seem more like real moccasins than the actual moccasins.

7.) Pleated wool skirt, cotton shirt, denim jacket, leather pumps.


All pretty boring I know. Which leads me to:

8.) Gold wreath, toga, hammered gold necklace, decorated leather bracers, large ruby gold ring, large jade gold ring, leather sandals, silver plated kite shield, diamond encrusted sabre, diamond tipped scepter.

Not like I was allowed to implement just anything I like, I need a second opinion for each item. That's why it generally takes so long to get anything implemented. But the way I see it, if I implement items my own characters wouldn't mind wearing, there will likely be at least one person wearing things and they won't go to waste.

Maybe we need more tailors.

Second opinion? We didn't need that when I was a tailor.

Lucky you. It's always needed a second opinion while I've been the tailor.
