A gnome riding a dog in Lake Village...

Postby Pirog » Sun May 30, 2004 8:05 pm

A gnomish sorcerer with a talking raven on his shoulder, riding a dog draped in purple came to Lake Village today...

I'm just wondering if that kind of RPing is accepted?
I have seen people RPing that they have children before, but how far can you actually take it?

oo oo look at me! I'm a Griffin driving a car with skunks as wheels.

I don't think there are any rules stateing whether or not you can RP all that ridiculous CRAP. But if they want to do that, they'll see just how many players will talk to them if they don't take it seriously. And as for names such as Druglord and Kronick :? ..... moronic

So how do you know he is...?

I guess he just believes he is, doesn't he, but he probably isn't.
Maybe he's just someone who's gone nuts, or?:-)

Oh, I saw that once before.. I took it as someone was thinking he was a dog, but really was a man. He was really good in rp'ing. I guess that happened a little before the other guy came, the one called Jamesh Bond. "Thish ish a bushy little town." Haha, that was hilarious! Is he still around?

Bear>

Yes, that's actually the reason why I asked the question here.
But it is hard for my character to act like the man is insane while other characters in Lake Village are petting his dog...

Unfortunately I haven't gotten an answer yet.

You could treat those as insane as well. :)

I think, our official opinion is that dog-riding gnomes don't exist in Cantr. Nor do dogs or gnomes. :D

The extent of RPing has come up repeatedly. Some, like Jos, say you shouldn't do things like *hides behind a building to get away from the crazy man*. Others say you should be able to *squats behing a building to pee*

No "official" rule has been declared, due to worry that it might be restrictive on the RP environment. But, I'd suggest not RPing anything that would directly contradict what is possible/impossible due to game mechanics. EX: Hiding behind a building won't save you from the madman, because you're still visible and vulnerable.

Thieves....
Depends what you mean.... the kind of loonies that just runs after their foul deed...or those that do it in style

i think RPing something that could be in-game is okay. like *shakes hands*, because characters are assumed to have hands.

riding into town on a skunk-wheeled car, though...

Or, for that matter, cigars and whiskey.

There's a few people who think it's cool to RP those in Karnon Forest...they usually get shot down though...people say, "why are you making sucking faces?" or things like that.

Zarking stupid.
