Usually no one talks there, it's just full of idlers. And pretty much everybody is Polish, except Echoman. How come English speakers don't go to the irc channel?

Almost every time I have gone there it is completely silent, in spite of a long list of peeps in the room. I can type "hello" or anything else and I get nothing. I've brought this up in the past and the response that I have gotten is something like all is working as it should. So I see absolutely no reason or benefit to going there at all.

Way back when the chat used to be a place to... well... chat And maybe that place exists somewhere else and no one has told me about it. It's probably all for the best though, since all of those out of game connections can complicate in-game stuff sometimes.

I tried going to it a couple weeks ago, said hello, waited awhile ... not a single response.

I've popped in a few times. Mostly to ask questions. If more people were chatting I would be inclined to stay.

Why is the link not ob the character page? I have to log out to the main page to find it. Unfortunately, when I log out I go to the forum and have to close and reload cantr.

You don't have to log out, there's a link in the text under the header 'discuss cantr':

Well instead of just saying how bad it is, why don't we all say, lets use it more, I've never use it, but as of now will try to remember to log onto it

Yeah, but then we'd have to, you know, chat. That's a little too social for my tastes. I'm not into human interaction.

I never liked irc chat, so that's why I'm never there.

The IRC is very useful for getting help quickly, or if you have questions. Normally you might have to wait a few minutes so people have a chance to see that you are talking. For my own part, you can highlight me by typing my name 'EchoMan' in the chat (or simply E+Tab key in most chat clients will display names starting with E). If I'm around I will respond instantly.

Most of the time I don't chat much in the main chat channel though. I tend to be busier in the staff channels.

People doing this:

10:50:10: X joins #cantr.
10:50:11: X: Hi!
10:50:30: X left #cantr.

won't get successful in IRC communication.

I'm too important for irc. I'm in college now. I do important stuff.

But I am busy. I hardly have time for Cantr itself nowadays.
Music performance majors are expected to practice a minimum of 2 hours per day every day. I hardly practice one hour a day, so I'm already slacking.

I was pretty frequent for a year or so, but now my computer is so full of malware that I just can't use it anymore.
Death by popups.

I miss it.
