I wonder if the decline of the Cantr world began on day 2020.

The top, characterwise, was around 1730.

To me, this is not the reason for any decline in cantr. This is players having difficulty distinguishing OOC from in-game. It could be argued that as a game, we've done a poor job in educating and orienting our new players on the difference and why it's important. But look around you in real life. It is human nature to hoard wealth and most of us have-nots have very little compared to the "greedy rich". Cantr is a place to play out your fantasies in those scenarios, not to rage that it is somehow unfair and all of the wealthy should hand over their riches to the rest of us.

It was a half-joke and half allegoric commentary on RL, especially in the US where things just keep getting more bizarre and scary by the minute. I guess my jokes aren't that funny these days.

There used to be so many jokes about 2012. And now when the 2020 gets real the jokes about this year look a bit dark.
