Random Thoughts on Cantr Societies.

One of the things I was concerned about when I returned to the game a month or so ago, was whether societies in the game had advanced so much that it took the survivalist aspect out of the game. We spawn and start eating pizza and ice cream. Was glad to see it wasn't the case. While I have a character that already has access to a vehicle, I also have one that is hoping each day to kill his next meal with a bone club. Playing the latter is what drew me to the game when I first played. I hope this stays a part of the game. Even if it means adding new islands from time to time that have to be settled and discovered as the current islands become more advanced.

You'll never spawn where there is no one... but there are a large number of places that you may spawn into sleepers... and still need to fight for your survival and there is a large number of empty places.

I think I would rather spawn in developed towns than primitive areas. It's a shame that it isn't possible to choose.

I had forgotten the three person rule for spawning. Would make it difficult when the time comes that the game needs "fresh" lands, but that appears to be a long way off especially since it looks like some of the languages have been combined and players arent limited to certain islands based on their language as it once was. At least I think that was the case a few years ago. Anyways I was just rambling but thought I'd say how I appreciate that its nice to still be forced to play in a primitive manner and hope it is something that the game doesn't leave behind even though it may be at least partly a goal of a majority of characters.

Actually two people are enough to make a place eligible for receiving newspawns, and they still count even if they're in near death state, so it's possible to spawn in places that will outright kill you.

I like the mixture offered. I don't think playing fifteen characters, worried that their bone shield won't protect them from the next animal attack would be as fun, but a couple that are truly forced to survive is enjoyable.

I spawned in woods one time with no one around, I don't remember where it was but it was next to a fairly large town.

That's because there were people there earlier in the day. The populations used to determine spawning are not real-time populations, but only a snapshot taken at a certain time.

And that's how Kabong came to be. He spawned all alone so I decided that he was the lost boy that nobody had taught how to communicate. Though I still don't know where he learned the word Kabong. It must have been the local dialect for Hodor around Lake Village.

I had a character on my first account spawn alone, inland on Aki. It was seven years before she found people.
