What I love is the sense of freedom I get from it. In real life, you gotta worry about boring things like going to work, dealing with tons of people, dealing with traffic, paying bills, etc.
Sometimes when I'm in a town that's on the shore and where there's only a few people, I just think man I wish I was there. No pollution, no trouble, plenty of food, and usually you can get a house and boat real cheap.
That's the life to me.

Re: Things you love about Cantr
Probably just the fact that it persists. I can go away for years and come back and it's still there. Down to less than a thousand players, but plugging along, due to the ministrations of a revolving but dedicated crew of rare nerds -- high praise from me.
So I just signed up again to play a bit and see if the magic is still there. Wonder if the powers will approve my application for an ID.... that's a weird thing I don't really remember.
