Linking Sounds in Notes

Postby FiziKx » Fri Apr 05, 2013 6:52 pm

Let's say a character of mine wanted to write music, and I roleplay that he 'invents' the standard musical notation that we use today. Then, I write sheet music and put it in a note. Am I allowed to link to a sound file hosted on an external site, on that same in-game note, so that other players can 'hear' what it sounds like when characters play the song on their instruments? (or perhaps because they learn about the musical notation system and can read sheet music themselves?)

These sounds and songs, of course, would be completely created by myself and made using something like Finale Songwriter or the like. Anyway, once again, would this be allowed?

I suggested allowing the hosting of sound files a while ago. I don't think anything became of the suggestion.

I wish that was a feature. :( In any case, would the staff mind if I linked to external sound files in notes, or would this be disallowed?

As a policy, notes are not supposed to contain external links. Even images should be uploaded to the game server.
