The endless killing of spawners...

I think it is starting to get real tiresome with these players who kill off their characters because they don't like their spawn point.

There is a point to spawning being random...why not make it a rule breach to kill off your character like that, so that we are rid off it.

I think it has a big impact on the game, because murder becomes so common that nobody hesitates (well, some do...but they aren't many) to take a life.
Without the suicidal spawners there would be much easier to establish a society with other laws than killing people for stealing.

when one of your characters dies, there should be a 4 day waiting period before you can spawn another, regaurdless of how many characters you have.
the only exception would be if you have no characters left (for the new players who do something stupid and get their first one killed right away).
i think this would make it harder to pick and choose your spawn point by suiciding without causing too much interuption for those who play legitemately.

Well I think it only really happens when people start playing the game, you know, with in the first month or so. Possibly something should be written bout it in the guide.

Which reminds me, I haven't spawned a char for like 8 cantr years apart from one, killed by rebels about 7 years ago.

I think many "veterans" do it to.

The problem seems to get worse as the time goes by.
Just today there have been suicidal spawners in 4 different locations where I have characters...

Lol, odd, the last one I've seen was like 3 weeks ago, and it wasn't even a suicide spawn but a suicide striker, dealt with accordingly for his act was that stupid.

For me it seems with time, there are less suicide spawners, I used to have to see a bunch with my Guard chars, and that was a pain in the ass since *coughs* the superior(s) were real lazy.

Haha, perhaps they are so remote that people just don't spawn there then :)

Report suicide attempt to the Players Dept. They can deal with the players on a more personal level. After a while, the "veterans" who do this will be known.

I believe that it is more veterans doing it than newbies. Vets know where they are. How can a newbie know the difference between where he is, and where else he could end up?

Yeah, that is my thought to.

But is it a rule breach? I thought it was allowed.
I will start reporting people from now on then...

It reminds me of this one time, forgot the name of the char, but my char found it most humorous, in Naron this wild beast of a spawn rose up one day and messed with the mounds of rice and notes (time and time again I told em not to tempt theives and lock stuff up) and of course he didn't go no where. Locked up and after a big of starvation holding, he started pleeding OOCly to die and started using vulgar and stuff toward my char's C.O. This was a while ago though and not the first time such has happened.
The way I look at it though if you don't want a char, mind as well wait for it to starve to death hiden away and not causing trouble or get massacred, they come about every so oft lol, or worse comes the worst email the pd.

We had a recent one who wanted to die. he spawned in town, joined the group, collected materials for a while and then poof one day he actually tells us

"kill me, i have lost the urge to live, pleasae somebody kill me."

we told him to stop it, and just keep going, if he "lost his inspiration to live" he could just leave and find another town.

stupid newspawns. we wont kill you unless you steal the imporant stuff. and the important stuff is locked up so dont bother trying.

Psycho Pixie

although i have to admit, one time i spawned near Lad and I killed the characture off rather fast. but i try to give all the charactures a chance.

Well if its near Lad, you'd pretty much be ending up dead, =D or in a work camp-unless a Guard, or so I've heard.

I kill them. Prevents them from going all unstable.

Or at the very least hurt them and leave. Suicidals are bad for property values.

Well actually when I can which is rare I try to turn them into slaves. That will warn you. Ask me to end your life in certain places and you get to slapped and fed for as long as it pleases me to do so.

That's an idea.

Locking up suicidals always work too.

I mostly determine by each character who will kill or won't kill a suicidal. Easle wouldn't kill while Paoream would be all to happy to kill.

And I have never killed a character off to suicidal though Robert's mission was pretty much suicidal but I always dreamed that he would get away. He fucked up the plan when he went into the town hall for a moment and they locked him in there. Damn active players! If they hasn't then Robert's attacks would have went on for days without a problem since he had at least 5 locked rooms and buildings. It would have at least taken 5 days to get to him. Most of Quillanoi would be dead by then.
