No.

You won't actually get killed or raped personally...
You'd have to 'really' piss someone off in game for that to happen.

Rape - I've never had a character raped. In my experience, rapist characters search for easy marks - the soft spoken, the timid, the shy. If you don't play a victim, it won't happen to you. If you don't let it happen, it won't happen to you.

About rape, you can't avoid it if it's going to happen, but what you can avoid is it being role-played. You have to state your explicit consent to role-play a rape. If it's forced on you, report it.

Yes, there's a very important distinction between "you" and your characters.

I've never had one raped, but sexually assaulted, yes. I nearly quit over it. There are now rules in place to prevent that. Unasked for sexual attention has to be agreed by both parties in advance. If not, then offending player should be reported to PD and disciplined.

I have had one killed and it was sad to lose that character, but fun to roleplay the death. Another died by the actions of others, in that she was attacked by animals in an isolated place and didn't have the keys to get to safety.

I had like three killed, and all because the people involved didn't know how to RP.

It's one of the reasons I'm against the current combat system,

I've honestly not had a character killed in at least a year. Some of my characters can be pretty mouthy and rude too.

I've never had a character killed.

I had one killed so far...it has made me resolve to never pay the housekeeper when something is going on in cantr.

That will probably last a week before the wife chooses between me and our housekeeper.


I don't like my chances.

Death in Cantr kind of seems like even more a part of life than real life..and I have at least had a direct family member die.
But no character lives forever? I'm counting on having most of mine live for as long as Cantr continues..also isn't there a character alive who's almost as old as the game is?
But at least pretty much all characters die eventually.

Sometimes I have an old character die, but I sure hope it doesn't happen again..but I guess I have a couple oldbies that I wouldn't be completely depressed over, and younger ones.

Has anyone mentioned that no character can kill another in a single hit? That's at least one reason to not be paranoid about it.

I have a character that definitely deserved it and was in a position to be killed, but still managed to survive!

Am I the only one disappointed in the fact that I haven't gotten raped yet?

But seriously now, I only ever had one character killed.. Three years ago I was a town guard (which town I really don't remember) and here is a brief summary of events.

Town Leader dies. Her go to guy picks up all her stuff. He kidnaps woman onto boat and sails off. Woman hops on docked boat and returns to town. Woman and I give chase on a borrowed boat. See him dock so we dock. His boats there but he is not. We announce who we are and where we are from and our desire to capture this man.. and we are both imprisoned and killed. Suspected of being pirates.

That character was my first that I actually heavily role played. And I liked him a lot more than the rest of my characters because of it. Then he was first to die. I've been reluctant to heavy RP again ever since... which is why all my characters right now suck... (well actually two of mine were recently mentioned in the RP Praise topic, but I'm as surprised as you are)
