Silly and characters like him

Postby Genevieve » Mon Apr 12, 2004 3:21 pm

I think Silly is one of the more interesting characters in the game. His development is closely watched by the town. What do you think of Silly (of Drojf) and characters like him?

It's kind of strange for new people to see

A man in his thirties says, "Gooboo!"
I'm not dead; I'm dormant.

After the initial shock of a thirtysomething year old less ept, and as detailed in the topic of "RP of Stupid People," variety is essential to chars. I have 2 off center char's, one much more so than the other- but that is in moderation to my "normal," "arrogant+bloodthirsty," " rather compassionate(part from recently)," and one plain "subtle greedy" char, who passively makes themself wealthier, acting whatever need be to do so-

So in conclusion-whether Silly or a freak or a norm, they're all essential to cantr's variety.

I haven't seen any culture produce long names. Isn't it Arab culture that have the really long names or is that more of the Eastern Muslim cultures that do that? I can't remember...

....But I think it would be high-larious to see a Cantr culture do something similiar. Something from the 13th Warrior comes to mind.

I like having characters like silly, gwar, etc....keeps the game a bit more interesting. Although what I don't like, is peopel assume that ones who speak gibberish are stupid...silly is not stupid...his language skills just have grown slowly over 11 years, because he wasn't taught very much...he mostly picked up more and more words from listening over the years....and Taowyn is trying to teach him to read....
