Cantr Support/Intervention Group Attempts from RL

If this fits somewhere else, then feel free to move it.

I was talking to a friend today during AP Chemistry about...well, not chemistry. But anyways, I got bored so I got on Cantr, and he catches me and says, "Nooo, you know the rules. No Cantr during first block." Then we discussed my addiction, and he then gave me the following speech:

Your addition to Cantr has affected your life in the following negative ways. One: you don't get your work done. Two: you're going to develop a multiple personality disorder. Three: your eyes are going to go bad because you stare at that screen for so long. You are going to suffer radiation poisoning from having your laptop and phone on you for so many hours at a time and you're going to get cancer, and when you're on your deathbed your body eaten away by cancer you're going to say, "If only I hadn't been so addicted to Cantr." Because you'll know that you ended up there ALL BECAUSE OF YOUR ADDITION TO CANTR. And then you'll be saying, "Why didn't I accept the intervention help when it was offered to me for so many years?"

Now, there's a great center in Wyoming…

You know, we need to pump you up with something...we need to get you addicted to heroin so you can get off that.

Has anybody else ever experienced anything similar while talking to friends and/or family about Cantr?

[Note: The spelling of "addiction" as "addition" is intended. That's the way it was recited to me, and he actually told me to quote him like that if I did quote him.]

No, but if it makes you feel any better I'm pretty sure there is no evidence for any of the components of number three.

As for the first two: Well, it was nice knowing you, Snick!

LMMFAO that is great.....
Yes I have had people do similar things to me over cantr in the past. But most people will complain about anything you do, they think you enjoy too much.

My only other comment is substitution for addictions almost never work. (Take my word for it.) Heroin would just make you a junkie and you`d still be playing cantr, although it may distract you for a time.
I know your friend was probably joking, but there are much worse addictions. And unless your life is seriously being disrupted by it, I wouldn`t worry about it. Besides MPD just gives you more friends to interact with. :D

Look I got eggs, a six pack of dogs, and some cane toads. If we are really quick we might be able to trap a coyote, a toucan, and a howler monkey. Mikki aint got shit on the army I can raise. If you dont count children with crayons. *shivers*

Fine! Scorpions, two steps snakes, and vultures to clean up the mess left over.

...

1. How much work did your friend get done in the time he wasted talking to you about giving up Cantr?
2. Multiple personalities = multiple persons = more work done in less time (= more time for Cantr).
3. Yeah, and if you do accept the intervention, many years later you'll be lying on your deathbed, all old, going "Damnit, I can't even pee without help. My eyes are gone even without radiation and other stuff, life ammounted to nothing, I should have had some fun while I still could".

Tell your friend that... and while he's busy listening, suddenly inject him with some heroin.
Keep some extra heroin ready, so you become his pusher, and make him work the streets.
And then when he hits rock bottom, pull some intervention mumbo jumbo on him... heh...

Sorry, I can't give you that. I don't even know it. :p

1. Nothing was happening in class at the time. The teacher had finished his lecture, and everybody was pretty much sitting there doing nothing by that point.
2. Unfortunately they all exist in one body in which it is physically impossible to do all that. I'm sure he'd jump all over that right away. Please refine your argument. :)
3. ....I could answer that in so many ways, and he could answer that in so many ways, and ehh whatever. Plus, he knows I'm a Christian, sooo....

1. Where am I going to find heroin?
2. How am I supposed to sneak it into school without anybody noticing? Furthermore, how am I supposed to jab him with a needle in the middle of a classroom with everybody around as potential witnesses in court?

1) Easier than you would think to find, merely by just going for a walk.
2) Way, way easy to sneak anything into school. You can barely cal it sneaking. Also, if you jab and inject fast enough, people will just think you pinched him, and hell be too high to realise otherwise.

get a radiation filter for old school monitors :) saves the eyes and holds off the cancer. and... you web browse using a cell? damn, that's too small, use a full screen to save ur eyes and.. anything but a cell to hold back the cancer. LCD monitors are safer and you don't need a radiation filter.

as for the not getting work done.. well that's all about personal discipline lol

and multiple personality disorders? that is hidden within all people's minds, wether it prevails is dependant upon your natural suseptablity to multiple personality disorders/schitzophrenia.

Mojo and Mikki.

Instead of one-upping each other to see who is the greatest superpower of vandalism, why don't you both show up and use a combined arms alliance of rotten eggs, crayons and other accessories that will make him think that Halloween has come early. Make sure that you leave a threatening note, written in crayon of course (with a unicorn on it!) that there is more where that came from!

You will probably be admitted to the cantr hall of fame on the first ballot.

Be well
