Landing stage on ships?

Postby Pirog » Wed Mar 31, 2004 12:26 pm

Is it possible to build a landing stage on a ship, so that other ships can dock next to yours on the sea?

Please don't answer with "ask around IC to find out"...

If it isn't possible you should consider making it possible to dock next to other ships...to exchange news, trade etc.

A landing stage on ships? And you assume it might work?

You need grappling hooks.

From what I've seen, you can't even access the buildings category in the build menus from a ship.

Theoritically, it's already possible for a 'certian boat here' to dock onto a larger craft, like a 'other certian boat' for example. But, that doesn't mean it works, nor does it talk about ALL boats docking with ALL OTHER boats. That would have to be coded, probably.

Jos said it's possible to dock on ships but not how... You might need something to dock... Or not... :p

Okay. What I'm trying to say is. A specific boat can dock onto another specific boat already. I can't say what boats can dock on what, but I can say that it's possible without an item. But others may require one.

Or I could be lying :)

I just noticed I have been qouted in three different signatures .

On a more on topic note. Anthony said "to dock onto a larger craft" Obviously that means a smaller boat must get on the larger one. So I would suggest you read things more carefully.

How odd, trage. It would seem that people are watching everything you post so they can snap it up and put it in their signature. *shrugs*

Moving onto something on topic... I wonder if a boat that is docked onto another boat adds to the weight of the other boat.
