ERP Rules Update and Clarification
For the past couple years, ERP (erotic or sexual roleplay) with more than 2 characters present has required submitting a form to ensure all have provided specific consent. In part to avoid discrimination against relationships involving more than 2 people, we've removed this requirement. ERP is permitted where all present have provided clear consent in-game (being an adult is not considered consent). We've also added clarifications of what is considered ERP and graphic or obscene content on the Game Rules page (towards the bottom).

As rape is a very serious matter, we've also clarified that rape or ERP where a character does not consent is not permitted, even where the players consent. For the same reason, it's not permitted even to roleplay as if rape occurred.

While we do not monitor all ERP, we take reports of ERP and obscene content seriously. Please do submit cases where you did not consent to such content using the contact form.

GRAVEYARDS, MAUSOLEUMS, AND SHRINES

We have implemented several new buildings and objects: graveyards, mausoleums, memorials, and shrines!!

Graveyards: Extensive areas, designed to hold tombstones to memorialize those who passed away, with no limit to the amount of tombstones.
Graveyards are open areas. People is be able to see who's inside and interact with them without need of windows (since they are "constructions").

Graveyards are able to hold mausoleums, which are buildings similar to any other buildings, but not that useful, and intended for placing sarcophagi mostly.

There will also be shrines and memorials. The first are small constructions, possible to be built "almost" anywhere (except vehicles). They don't have any particular benefits. Simple constructions that allow people to go inside and they allow the adding of some decorations. No locks allowed.

Memorials on the other hand are like small graveyards, but they don't allow mausoleums to be built inside. Instead of tombstones, they allow plaques to be installed.

Bonfire projects on the small firepit can now take any length, like the cozy fire in the firepit.


Lemonade

Grab a pitcher and a spoon for these new lip-puckering drinks! Six new lemonades have been added for a plethora of new drinks.


NEW FURNITURE HAS ARRIVED!
Check the build menu for two new flavours of furniture, Wicker (made with white willow) and Rattan (made with reed)


Sarcophagi are now buildable in mausoleums


New Foods
New recipes have been added to the smoker, gas barbeque and campstove! Bon appétit!


Storage descriptions

As of now, the following storage items no longer use paper labels as their tool for making a custom description, but instead use the standard rules for description tools. (As described on http://wiki.cantr.net/index.php/Object_descriptions)

Steed Corrals
Steeds arriving in a location with a Steed Corral will end up in the corral. This will mean that no longer will steeds eat the animal feed of any domesticated animals and will be kept separate. The corral itself is a construction, which means that it does not protect from being attack and furthermore it will not be lockable. So no locking up horse riders!! Steeds will still need to be saddled in the "central area" but then popping out of town and immediately turning around will put your steed in the corral.


Cotton candy Machine and Cotton Candy
Great for parties, get-togethers, or any time really, Cantr now has cotton candy! Available in a variety of flavors, this sweet treat is sure to be a hit!


Ding ding! The tram is here!

Finally here! The bane of cyclists all around the world, trams are coming to a town near you.

Trams will be cheaper, slower, smaller versions of the already existing trains, and feature their own engines (tram controls). They will stop at stations and barricades just like their big brothers, but will also stop at the newly introduced tram stops, which can be built cheaply and will make the tram stop outside in the town they are built in.

Mannequins, Wax Sculptures, and Wax figurines!

Perfect for tailors, fashion designers and shop owners, mannequins offer a way to show off any outfit you can dream up! They are lockable and customizable.

Wax sculptures are very much like mannequins, but use beeswax in place of wood. Perfect for museums to replicate historical characters, animals, or other scenes.

Wax figurines are smaller items, without storage capacity.


Bird cages, animal cages, and animal crates!

The bird cage will allow you to carry around your favorite little chickadee in style. It holds up to 2 kg which is big enough for an owl or smaller.

Large animal cage: A large fixed storage for all animals
Capacity: 500 kg, fits a single water buffalo, but amounts go up quickly once you get down to yaks.

Medium animal cage: A smaller fixed storage for all animals
Capacity: 200 kg, fits a single camel, anything down from a goat will fit twice or even more.

Small animal cage/Aviary: A large, fixed storage for birds. Should hold at least 10 small birds.
Capacity: 20 kg -> enough to keep quite a lot of birds including feed.

Storage for moving animals:
These portable storages would behave like any other, can be dragged around (or picked up), and locked but not locked in place. They are not meant as much for animal display.

Large animal crate: Like the shipping crate, but with air holes for animals to be shipped in.
Capacity: 160 kg, fits a single animal (bushpig or heavier) up to the camel. Anything down from goats will fit twice.

Medium animal crate: A smaller version of the above
Capacity: 100 kg, fits a single animal (chamois or heavier) up to the mountain goat. Anything down from mouflon will fit twice.

Small animal crate: More like a cat carrier.
Capacity: 9 kg, fits a single turkey (or smaller).

All crates and cages are lockable. All may also be customized. Bird cages and crates are transportable, while animal cages are locked in place where they are built.


Pillows now also show the cloth they were made with, instead of just being called "feather pillow"

We've been running into a recurring problem that can be fixed quickly but not very permanently each time, ProgD is looking into a way to fix it for real still. We apologize for this issue

All radios (transmitters, receivers and repeaters) are now describable, using the pliers as a description tool.


Sleeping in style!
Now available at a bedroom near your characters! Bored of the same old cotton-and-wood beds across Cantr? The offering of beds will be improved greatly, with a selection of modular bed options:

Mattresses can be made of silk, cotton or hemp, with cotton or feather fillings.
Bed frames will be available of wood, iron, steel, as well as wicker, rattan and primitive options.

These can be combined into easy to assemble beds, for a total of 32 different options.

Hi Cantr players!

The forum was down for a few weeks starting in December, and it's been back up since January 15, so this message is to let you know in case you didn't realize it's back up.

In other news, I'd love to hear any ideas you have to make Cantr or the Cantr community interesting, for yourself or for those who are learning about Cantr for the first time. Whether that's a Cantr chat bot, podcast, journal/webzine, feel free to add your ideas to the #suggestions channel on Discord, the forum, or send me a message on Discord.

To make the game more interesting, we're also planning to have "random events" happen in Cantr soon.
