Feebly forming an upside

an upside? honsetly, no there isn't, 2 wrongs don't make a right but even so, 2 really crappy things put together can console eachother.. somewhat....

my laptop, has had a minor screen issue for a couple months, there would be the occasiona verticle line that can be cleared with a slight squeez or very gentle twist, well last week one night, it had a few lines and a tinted section, i was trying to clear it up when suddenly "CRACK" the @#$^@#$^!#$^@#%&@$@$ @#&@$% &&(#^%#* thing cracked! lost all sense of vision on the screen it was entirely useless. so i remove it took the screen in and tried to get a replacement which... even if they had found a source to get the right screen, the stupid screen alone is over 400 #%&*@@* DOLLARS! so no , not fixing it, will have to retrieve my data somehow and get a new lappy, eventually!

the other crap is.. we just lost cantr again, it's like a losing battle with terminal cancer this spring, 3 weeks expected downtime now?

how do these 2 piles of s#!^ console eachother you ask? it's simple. i often take my laptop when i go somewhere i can get wireless, usually i take it to play cantr. so, since my lappy is dead i cannot login to cantr anywhere but home, so now in a time my activity would plummet drastically, the game is down anyways. and as such, since the game is down, i only miss my laptop half as much.

i know you gotta be a sick twisted #%&* to find any good out of it and... well it's not good but... you know what i mean. :?

That's true.. and the terminal cancer reference is a little dark I think. If someone has been affected by cancer on these forums, they might not find that very funny. Actually, they won't find it funny at all. I think getting cancer is worse than Cantr being down for a couple of weeks.

Yes Returner, just like those who have been the victim of a violent animal attack wouldn't appreciate animals being particularly violent in game, or...those with mycophobia appreciating that mushrooms can actually heal those nasty axe wounds....

Oh yeah, my point...this is the WWW, there is a LOT to be offended about (search for any of Yugo's classic posts) and besides, from what I read, I don't think the OP meant it to be funny to begin with?

Try getting hit by a car and killing off your account because of it. Been there, done that...and yes, it really f'ing sucks. So yes...always something worse...those words are so true.

Pretty often, that vertical line is caused by a screw or something touching the screen that shouldn't be. This is why twisting or moving it could cause monitor could have fixed it for sometime.

As for replacing the monitor, did you try ebay? Most of the laptop monitors i've seen on there run between 100-200. If its $400, you might as well buy a new laptop for a couple hundred more.

to clear up any misunderstanding, the cancer reference was saying that it's like the game has it and is why it is suffering and unavailable. i wasn't compairing the lack of cantr to a case of cancer, that would be just wrong.
