What's the use of this? One of my characters wanted to cook something with it, but didn't get the option. The only options are to drop it or give it away.
As far as I can see, it's not a required tool for anything else either. Is this a programming error?

No. It has a use with a "machine".

Does it have anything to do with meat?

Just remember, if you have something without a use, it just means you don't have the right machinery.

The broom has a use?

If someone asked me I would have to look that one up.

Okay, fine. Not the broom. How about, if you don't know what something's for, then it USUALLY means you don't have the right machinery. *sigh*

I made a broom once. Took me a very long time to figure it had no use. *is the only idiot that made a broom* so I gave it away as a gift. =D

There is a use for the broom. It is up to your characters to find out. If there wasn't a use you wouldn't be able to build one.

I really don't like these types of guessing games in Cantr...there is no logic to them since they have nothing, or at least very little, to do with using the items IRL.

Sometimes it is hard to figure out how the tools are meant to be used, and the way it is organized is far from obvious to everyone...I think there should be a guide for these things.

I agree. I'm hesitant to make a wheelbarrow because I have no idea if it will do anything. This isn't really something I should have to think about because everything is supposed to have a use in game and a wheelbarrow (as well as a broom) definitely has a use IRL.

So could I just get a yes or no answer on whether a wheelbarrow does anything?

No. How long did it take people to figure what a crowbar was use for?

I would point out that why would your character want to build one if he didn't have a use for it. So until a character needs it for something then maybe characters in Cantr won't know what the use is.

The wheelbarrow does have a use as well. The people in the Commonwealth in Blojt figured out the use a long time ago. It just hasn't circulated as much as the use for it isn't needed because the society isn't placing its effort into what the use would be for.

Not Here...

Well, take the hidescraper for example.
I built it because I thought it could be used to turn hide into leather.
I still suspect that is the case, but since I don't know what it has to be combined with I really have no idea...
And that is the irritating part, because IRL there is probably many ways to turn hide into leather, and therefore it makes little sence that I must sit here an guess the ones being implemented.
