Cantr II Discussion Forum

As My charactures walk the lands of Cantr, I am noticing alot more... Unique, names popping up. I desided, that, in true Psycho Pixie fasion, I should open a Forum discussion about these nifty names, and maybe some of te players can tell us where they got them from.

My most recent "god how do you say that" name is Urnanshe Shudi-Ad. She spawned in... Seatown forest? I think. Some nice guy named Fearless gave her food. and her nick name will be Urie.... Anyway, I got the name from this nifty book I bought the other day called "Uppity Women of Ancient Times"

Ur Nanshe was a Blind Singer and musician from Sumer, she was a sumerian vocalist. *grins*

Shudi-Ad was a Queen of Sumer, This Sumerian Queen Died of rather un-natural causes at the age of 40. The sumerians liked to have "pre-death" wakes in which the Person would attand, and then later die. Very interesting huh? Shudi-Ad attended most of her own death funeral.

Nelson Batista : Nelson like mandela and Batista like the old dictator of Cuba (nice opposition of attitudes), By the way the name of a extasy-addict friend of mine...

Most of my female chars take their name from my one nigh-stands (they say I won't remember them, but here is the proof i do!!)...

Dont think i have any names like that, old ones maybe? Like Axhind, Chandos, Stone Waters. Good guys those three characters. Best ones i had.

It doesnt have to be your own charactures names... it can be names of charactures you have met in the past to.

Oh yeah, I knew a guy called Head Chop Off. He died of a really misterious death, he was well fed and healthy and one day he just dropped dead with some othe guy called fu manchu. I thought it could have been a CR breach and the 2 chars have just been eliminated.
Does anyone know anything about this?

Doesnt matter maybe? just some body leaving cantr on their own or being kicked out, normally what happens when you see people just dieing.

anyway something along the lines of Flippy Hippy or something like that from lake village near quillanoi that name was an odd one, player was to, but hey mikey was funny. Wu Tang also another odd one, would have to say the entire matrix family that was taken out a long time ago. Hmm craktar and maynard those are some interesting names. Maily Yumm. We are talking about weird names right? just making sure.....

I can think of alot of names to fill this list from way back when, those were the times... good times good times.

I try to have interesting names for all of my characters. I don't know where the inspiration comes from, it's just a spur of the moment thing. I think the most unique is Axia. I did have a Rozaline....but she was mauled repeatedly by a bear and didn't make it out of Sud Wuds Zovederiat. Darn bears.....

I try to keep mu characters name varied.... some just have one name, others a first and last name...

Overall it comes down to whatever comes to mind... My favorite WAS Izit Orizintit but he got killed in a senseless massacre. so I reincarnated him as Itwuz Orwuzzntit...
