Game Mechanics > RP

That's the way it seems to be in this game.
My character accidentally pointed the wrong direction as all their locations were 'unnamed location' to a person who just arrived and asked for directions, that character uses a complete OOC method and says they couldn't go that way because game mechanics wouldn't allow them(an OOC concept). Then without saying anything else they killed my character.
Not complaining about being killed, rather at people killing due to game mechanics over actual RP(which they used none).

Isn't this a CRB then?

If the game mechanics prevented them from going somewhere, that probably means it was some newbie who was stuck on a project and doesn't know how to cancel it. If a single person killed your character in one hit then your character must've been wounded in advance, and sometimes people feel tempted to try their luck finishing someone off to get their stuff because even if they failed, the victim couldn't do much harm because they're weakened by their wounds. But it's certainly showing a lack of rp.

Sadly, game mechanics win.... but it doesn't hurt to flavor things with RP.
See the issue is that game mechanics are ALWAYS FACT while RP is more along the lines of assumed understanding.
Dudel wonders if that made any sense at all.

That's just rude.

He might have been in a vehicle that couldn't fit on the road and he didn't feel like walking?

I don't want to give too much away as to what happened. But there were two people. They asked where a thief was. I didn't save the locations around me as my character didn't care for anyplace but their home, anyways, twas busy in RL and pointed to a unnamed location. Turned out I pointed to a path, which apparently due to OOC mechanics a vehicle they were chasing can't go on. So they killed me.
I don't think it is a CRB really. It was rude, yes, and not roleplayed at all. I was just commenting on how people use OOC knowledge to play the game rather then RP. Say if they went down that path and found no one in the other town and came back, cursed me out for giving them the wrong directions and then kill me, I'd be fine with that.

That's not a CRB at all... and think of it like you pointed down a path that was a forest trail... and they were chasing a car.
I'd be pissed off at you too... although IRL I'd not have killed you.
Depending on the IG group you were dealing with... that was either an insult to their intelligence or it was assumed that you were trying to help said thief and killed for it. Either way, it was enough to get you killed.

I agree with Dudel, although they should have Rpied the murdering.

A little RP is always appreciated, of course.

What might be considered CRB here is the fact of refering to an ooc concept inside the game, the killing without further justification is just a rough way of playing wich should be used only when necessary. I doubt this was the case...

This is not OOC mechanics, this inside the game machines, thus IC.
When a game vehicle cannot go through a game pathway, then this is all ingame.
Killing someone because of giving a possibly false info due to error is harsh, but its not CRB from the info given here.

Since your sole idea of having a good time is ruining the game of others, I hope you get stopped soon, somehow, sometime.
