Forum TOS violations - Stop the hating.

When you create an account for this forum, there's a TOS that you agree to.
I've grown tired of the casual disregard displayed in this community for these guidelines, and I'm very tempted to start enforcing them. A good deal of the problem in retaining/obtaining staff stems from the negative attitudes and constant disrespect flying about on these forums. We work hard for you, yet you use words like "retarded" and "lazy" when speaking of us. The ONLY reason this game is still running is because of the volunteered efforts of the current and past staff, and as a game administrator, I think the bare minimum that a Cantr staff member should expect is to work in an abuse-free environment.
And let's not forget the players, those bystanders in this forum that are subjected to endless childish nonsense between a small number of you. I'm tired of the hating. This forum is not America, and it's not a corner in Hyde Park. The only reason this behavior has been allowed is because it was permitted, but now I'm tired of it. I'm going to be taking up this problem with the rest of the GAB. The best argument you can make for maintaining the status quo is by cleaning up your own behavior.
And let me be clear: I'm not talking about disagreement and criticism. I'm talking about the constant slander and abuse that is so pervasive on this forum that it has been "normal" for years. Whatever you have to say, say it with respect, regardless of whom you're addressing, or if they deserve it or not.
I'm locking this, because I don't want it to turn into a blame party. I don't think that anything more needs to be said.

You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed).
