You think I should steal a really well stocked and large ship from this suspected pirate who vested complete trust in me? I can't seem to have the courage to do so because of OOC feelings... I wonder how the player will feel. This action would probably also end in that character dying, and losing his life's work.

Wouldn't NOT doing it in this case be CRB? lol
anyway the first rule is if you're planning something like this, don't post on the forum about it or don't be surprised when you suddenly get killed by said pirate...

as you posted it here, you don't have much time to think

.
PS: no, i'm not the pirate and none of my 9 characters own a ship.

Heck, taking advice from us would probably be a CRB too. You're the only one that knows what your character would do.

And couldn't you come up with a vaguer title than "Eh?"

I've had many situations where I could easily steal a ship with lots of valuable resources. Even with characters that would possible do such a thing if they'd get the chance. But in the end the role play and interaction is so much better.
My playing rule regarding this: if a ship sails frequently (aka has people who are active using it), don't raid it. Unless playing a pirate.

I hope this isnt my charrie you are talking about stealing from, because he has invested his whole life into his ship...

Don't pirates make a life from stealing from other what they invested their whole life into?
Generally I'd say, stealing a ship is eeeevil. But doesn't a pirate just get some of his/her own medicine?

Not necessarily. I'm developing one right now that has good IC reasons to only want to target idiots, a-holes, and sleepers. They're not even what I'd consider a bad person, they're incredibly loyal and helpful to their town, they just get so frustrated and
angry at incompetance and laziness and useless posturing.
Of course something could always happen to change them, but I think right now if they were to attack another ship and the people on it responded in a way they could respect they would be content to leave it alone or maybe just steal their stuff and leave the ship alone, even if that meant leaving witnesses. So many people in Cantr seem so determined to always fight to the death though.

Not really. At least not when it comes to my character. I say he is a pirate, but really he is more of an entrepreneur. Stealing from sleepers or abandoned towns only, but very loyal and kind to everyone.
