Well, with the recent events that have just ocurred in the last few days it seems that the Alexian Empire has finally reached their lowest point. Now the questions is, will the Empire survive after this great defeat.
Personally, I think if the Empire's enemies don't go and finish the job then the Empire at this point will break up into different factions and war among themselves for power.
And then there are the major powers who live. General Sester Gartaf survives, Advisor Hildebrand and Vizier Parker are still around. Many people know that Parker and Gartaf hate each other's guts. Wonder if they will finally clash.
Well, these were definitely some interesting and defining events for our little world these past few days.

4-day rule, I think. But what the Lad, it's a fun topic.
I expect the Empire is going to get conquered. If the Dourden people decide to attack Lad, I don't think the people who stayed behind will stand a chance.

Gartaf seems to forget that shadowy brother of his, whose whereabouts are a small mystery....

Well considering Gartaf hasn't seen them in so many years, Gartaf believes him dead.
Anyways, I never said what the events were. Just wondering what is the future of the Alexian Empire now that these events have occurred.

Funny thing is, I have chars on both sides now, although the Lad one has been away for quite some time (I mean the real Lad one, not the Sjo one)
As Richard pointed out, the Empire might fall apart now. Personnally I don't think there will be a real conquest by the DoUrden people as they tend to be pretty secluded.
I wonder how this will affect the colony in Sjoftich.

My Guard character is deserting, though with no army left it might not be deserting so much as retreating. I wonder when the news will get to Lad. . .

With no army left, you're not a guard anymore I'd say.
Too bad that the A-E might fall. It is a very interesting place. (Was)?
Very good for the game anyway.

In may case il be glad if the Alexian empire, then my explorer in that area can walk through it without being called a spy and almost get killed.

Then you have to worry about all the warring factions in what was once the Alexian Empire getting you killed.

Yes but organised military is a lot more of a threat to me than unorganised military.

I wouldn't say so, rogue soldiers are more likely to kill the lone wanderer than regular army does when proper ID is produced.

Your chances would be much better dealing with an orgainized Empire then dealing with roving bands of brigands, the Empire has been known to shelter and supply travelers in the past.
And what a turn of events...knowing what i know now however I'm surprised that the fight lastest as long as it did, seems DoUrden had about 5 days to prepare due to a what will become for someone a fatal mistake
...the Empire is rocked, but there are many competent people with the ablility to hold it together who are still alive, and one in particular the Hawthorne was counting on. Basically, the Empire is just back to where it was about 10 years ago when Sestar was gone and the guard was in shambles, except it's Sestar and Hildebrand who now is in the position to hold things together.
Bad luck guys...but damn what a way to go...and DoUrden has one last surprise if they haven't found it already

shouldn't leave machinery open to the enemy

Yes but were talking about the Alexian empire and my character here, who has been avoiding that area for a while now because of something foolish he did a while back which led to him being suspected a spy.

It's not as if the entire Lad army was killed, the reason the assault took so long was so that a large army could be put together while still leaving the homeland protected, the only real reason the empire would fall without a direct and desisive attack upon it is for the the current officials to let that happen.
And i think the region is going to remain very interesting for a long time still.
