Lack of newspawns while some other town get to many.

In some towns I haven't seen any newspawns lately, while others get one almost every day.... Some groups are really having trouble because of this.... Sometimes I think, someone is trying to get such groups gone by not letting them have newspawns. ( I know, well I hope it's not true) But why do some towns get so many they can't even handle that amount of newspawns and other towns don't get any while they really need them?

A while back in Blojt Forest East there was like, one newspawn a day for a little over a week. Really strange.

Have you seen how many Seatown got for a long period? I believe they even got about five in one day.

Spawning rules:

1) There have to be two people of the same language to qualify as a valid location
2) Spawning is random
3) Randomness is weighted positively by population density of that language group
4) Randomness is further weighted negatively by proximity of a players other characters
5) First two spawns are heavily weighted towards regions of high population

You can contemplate these rules and discover how they may be contributing to whatever phenomenon you see. If they don't seem to apply, it's probably just random variation.

As far as I have seen most large town don't need much newspawns as they can hardly give attention to who are already spawned.... And it's actually the smaller towns that really need newspawns.

I have a char alone in someplace.
What the odds he'll see someone spawn there?

I have a lonely person as well. Does that mean no one spawns there?

Unless someone was there very recently, before the status got updated. It's possible to spawn in a place without anyone there at all like this.

And I'm guessing that a good deal of newspawns will be the first or second for a player, therefore they get spawned in the high population areas, thus propelling the the population further and causing even more newspawns, while the smaller populated towns will probably never see a players first or second newspawn, only those from established players. And we already know that a high rate of new players don't stick around very long meaning that the rate of first time newspawns is probably greater than the rate of established players.

I bet someone with a mind for statistics and access to the database could provide numbers.

Yes as new players will not make that many chars mostly one or two, to see what the game is like.... I know it's a rule of spawning that they will get in a large town so they will have more chance of finding action... But I recently noticed that small towns pay much more attention to newspawns then large towns do.
