Cantr II Discussion Forum

But I don't know how. I really want to contribute -something- to this game besides just characters and decent RP. I'm just not sure where to even begin.

I'm just looking for helpful suggestions, or people to point me to areas where I may be needed, keeping in mind that I am currently working, but have plenty of internet access and am available most nights.

Well, not having looked at whether you have a background in the PD to worry about but if not, why don't you think about joining the staff? There is ALWAYS need in almost every department for good solid people.

Solid as in 'Sane'?

Er, I don't THINK I have a bad background to worry about. But ya never know.

Um, I'm certainly no programmer or anything like that, but what kind of work is involved in say, the PD? I have readthe description, but... y'know.

It is a combo PR and investigation. You start by learning the ropes - we don't expect you to tackle cases right off the bat necessarily and there needs to be a clear understanding of the CR and the way it is interpreted.

Marketing Department could always use any help.

I certainly understand the CR and how it is interpreted, even if I don't happen to agree with it at times... but I would be willing to enforce it as it is interpreted, simply because I understand that it is better to smoothly run the game.

As for the marketing department... I'm decent at graphic design. I have lots of good ideas, but I've gone between so many different image-editing programs and don't really have regular access to one. BUT I R SMRT WIT WURDS 2

hahaha. Well, why don't you apply? You could apply for more than one, talk to the heads of the departments, see if one/both make sense.

CD would be another option. It basically just telling other people to behave on the forums.

Thats one department I know I'd NOT be getting into.

There is always the option to donate to Cantr as well if you are not one to spend time.

Personally: I've been thinking about talking to Doug about the marketing department as I already sent him stuff of that nature and it'd be easier to "do it myself".

To be 100% honest, I'd suggest AGAINST PD as I hear it makes you slowly hate Cantr. *sad face*

I still don't hate Cantr .... lol and this is my third round with both Cantr & PD

First time - graduated from college, didn't have a job and didn't have much access to computer, was temping allllll the time.

Second time - had a major back problem, 1 herniated L5 disc and 2 bulging discs, with excruciating pain and paralysis of half my right leg = not exactly energy for anything but getting well.

So now I'm back!! YAY

Edit: So don't judge!! You don't know why someone needs to quit, and each person has different reasons

I did not judge anyone, and it hurts my feelings if you think I did.

I actually did quite the opposite, wondering why it happened.

And the thing I didn't understand is why you can't just leave your account idle until you start playing again.

So please, enlighten me.
