How Is Cantr Nowadays?

Hi, I dont think any of you will remember me but anyway, im back after a few years out, I had characters in there thirties once but I got a little bored and just stopped playing. Some of it was to do with the annoyance of building up characters for almost a year only to see a few of them killed or with no intresting future.

Anyway im back now and I think I can have more "stickability" to keep playing all my characters even when they get boring or some die (after ages of hard work) Also I think to have fun with a character you sometimes have to make stuff happen rather than just go with the flow.

Anyway what's the state of cantr nowadays? Without trying to breach capital rule are there still many abandoned towns? And whats the state or rping, are people good at it and do interesting things happen? What's the general community like?

It varies. Often the well-roleplayed characters stick together, so you'd do well doing the same. Towns die easily, but get taken over and new life appears here and there. You should read through the topics on the first page of this section, should be a good bit of information here and there.

Oh yes, I had a look at that, although I admit (almost) complete ignorance to any of the places or groups they refer to.

But im glad to hear of less crazy newspawns although that was alright when I was playing before.

It sounds worthwile playing still and I guess I can only find out if I want to play it again by playing. I think I do.

I just started about 6 months ago after taking a year or two break as well. I am glad I did. There is not as much activity as their used to be, but if you get in the right areas there is enough to make it worth-while. Hope you start again! :)

Hmm yeah I thought I had only posted once or twice here but I have 80 posts so I must have said a little bit. Im going to see if I can find my old posts.

EDIT: Wow my spelling used to be worse than pies (is he still around) and I used to be fairley stupid. Read though my old posts if you want but note that was 4 years ago when I was 11 and ive changed alot since then and had alot more expirences which means im not like that at all anymore.

I think I actually read threads before I post

na I love cantr :D It's the only game of it's kind and its so fun just to be able to roleplay whatever you feel like. Im currently working on some creative ideas for characters.

So i just started out...
things are a little more interesting.. I've seen some personalities which probably wouldnt have survived when i last played seriously. Not that i entirely dislike it.

There doesn't seem as many empires as there were before or prehaps thats just where I have spawend. I was going to make a character making a map of empires but that seems a little pointless now.

my assumption is that the 'empire' boom died off, and everyone is all into personal governance. Why? I dunno, it just makes more work for each individual, but even in empires it was basically a lot of little towns working togeather. A historical map of the empires would be cool to have, though, if you made it a color map showing their past and present boundries. I hear Lad is still kicking, if weakly.
