How would your characters react if...?

Reactions to different what if situations. Anybody can suggest a scenario. People can post their characters' reactions to any given scenario, doesn't have to be in the post above. If several characters would react in the same way, they'll naturally stack. No names mentioned. Anybody interested?

Some scenarios:

• Slap in the face

  b) by stranger
  c) by friend, no malicious intent
  d) by friend, betrayal
  e) enemy
  
• Somebody insults your charrie's friend
  
• Somebody's breaking the law, your charrie is the only one awake, law breaker cannot be dragged alone
  
• Meeting a person you dislike but must tolerate

I'm ready to post from my characters' perspectives but I wouldn't want to be the only poster, since that would be awkward.

Slap in the face

1. Get pissed off and swear, ask for reason
2. Kill or hurt as badly as possible then escape
3. Laugh at how this brings back memories (if it's a girl, punch in face)
4. Get scared, hide behind husband
5. Think there must be some reason for it, and can't be bothered to do anything
6. Swear a lot, possibly kill or explain to them how much they fail at everything
7. Rub cheek, hide in corner and cry
8. Stay quiet or if absolutely unfair and that person did unfair things in the past, get really angry but still not do anything
9. Fall on the ground if hard enough, or stand just barely on weak legs
10. Start a fist fight and probably end up losing
11. Become angry and get the whole town to hate that person in a subtle manner
12. ...
13. Start acting like some assassin and slap them back when they least notice it, then giggle
14. If someone without all too much power, shout and attack, if someone with power, be afraid and run
15. ...

12 and 15 I have no idea for. They're badly RPd (as with most of my characters lately).

Slap in the face

1. Look surprised, find an excuse to leave
2. Most likely backhand the person in return, furiously, and inform them next time they do that they're gonna end up in jail.
3. If by a stranger, he'd get silent and icy, make an excuse to leave fast but if it happened in a town with anti-violence laws would demand the person's arrest. If by a friend, would probably rough 'em up a bit saying "why on earth did you do that, NEVER do that again!" then get sorry for it.
4. Slowly lifting a hand to hold her cheek, going "Now why would you do that for? That's not very nice."
5. Get amused, pay back by slowly cutting off body parts
6. Get shocked, either freeze on the spot or run away crying.
7. Get offended, punch person in the stomach, then start crying.
8. Pretty similar response to #3.
9. Would assume he deserved it and feel thankful.
10. Curl up shocked and start crying.
11. Punch or shoot with a bow, somewhat offended.
12. Would go with the "that's not nice, would you care to explain why you did that?"

Alright, I will do the next one:

Hit with a weapon:

1. Lock him in my ship hold and kill him over the next few days. No questions asked.

2. Run and hide in my house, shaking from fear.

3. Run down the road, or ask for help from one of the town-folks.

4. Kill him with the help of my pirate friends.

Slap in the face

1) Ask why the slap to his face was needed and explain that violence is never the answer. Perhaps ask the man to apologize but not to him, to the town for breaking the laws. Then go back to what he was doing as if he was not slapped at all.

2) Laugh thinking its funny, maybe get a little confused, but slap him back. Then go back to whatever he was doing.

3) If a girl slapped her, she'd cry. Nothing loud, just a little whimper. If a GUY slapped her, she'd shoot him and call him names.

4) He'd get all pissy and tell whoever slapped him it wasn't okay to hit a guard of... that town then dragged the guy/gal off to jail or get extra flustered and shoot him/her. If it was his girlfriend that slapped him, he might like it a little more then he'd admit but would think he deserved the smack to his face.

5) Swear excessively then shoot the guy and laugh about it. If a girl did it, he'd grin and think she was "playing at something".

6) Axn' face!

Shot By Weapon.

1) Same as slap to the face except eat some mushrooms before returning to work. Help drag the guy to wherever when someone else woke up.

2) DEMAND that the guy or gal DROP THEIR WEAPON, after shooting back.

3) Would depend on the reason for getting struck. If hit for no reason by a male she'd drag his ass someplace and tell her girlfriend about the prick. If a girl did it, she'd just hit the chick back and walk away in a huff.

4) Be shocked that someone would DARE to shoot a guard of... that town. Shoot back then try to drag the person to jail, if he could. He'd scream and holler that he wasn't gonna let "this happen again".

5) Same as before except he would eat some grapes or something and THEN shoot. After which he'd swear some more and say he was gonna maybe kill that person if they EVER tried that again.

6) Same except eat healing food THEN Axn' Face

I've a suggestion: Your town is attacked and you're character is the ONLY ONE awake.

I've a suggestion: Your town is attacked and you're character is the ONLY ONE awake.

1. Hit each of the attackers with his sabre and then try to drag his friends inside a locked building. If he couldn't drag them on his own he would run into the building and wait till he had the energy to attack again.

2. Would be so scared that he would run around trying to hide behind people, if the failed he would run into the second locked room in his abode. "Two locks should keep them out" he would think...

3. Since there is no place to hide in his town he would start running down the road and hope that they were wanting the town and that they would not follow him.

4. Would give them a pirate "harrrr harrrr harrr" and hit them with his sledgehammer, and hope that his shipmates would wake up soon and help him.

* Somebody's breaking the law, your charrie is the only one awake, law breaker cannot be dragged alone - crossbow to the gut, then drag (typically hit for 45 damage).

* Meeting a person you dislike but must tolerate - probable ignore, so i dont crossbow him in the gut.

Slap in the face:
1. Will demand an explanation for the reason of the slapping, but will probably be dealing more with calming his wife down than dealing with the actual slapper.
2. Depending on his mood: 1) If he is in a high/good mood, he might laugh it off, 2) if he is not in a high/good mood, expect to find an arrow through the slapper's hand with little regard or second thought and a threat to try it again.
3. Stunned. Will proclaim that slapping was not warranted and to not do it again, for it violates the laws.
4. If male, slapper will find a battle axe in his gut and be tossed into jail without a word for being a pussy. If female, slapper will be ridiculed and reprimanded.
5. Slapper will likely die regardless of what my character does. But if the slap was unwarranted, he'd instantly grab his weapon with one hand and the slapper's throat with the other hand. Usually that combination doesn't end well.

Meeting a person you dislike but must tolerate:
1. Fake smiles, but sincere kindness. The person will be tolerated.
2. Tolerate the person to gain trust. He'd devise a plan and when the time is right, he wouldn't need to tolerate the person anymore.
3. Ignore that person completely as if they do not exist.
4. Tolerate until his force becomes strong enough that there wouldn't be a need to tolerate disliked people anymore.
5. Incessantly make his disapproval known and make that person's life that much harder to endure. It's tough shit when he doesn't give a f- about the people he doesn't like.
