This works on 7, behaves a bit odd though :D
Instead of chillin' on the tray you've gotta press a button to see it.

Both versions should work on Vista. Try 1.02 first, and if that doesn't work, use the AIR version instead.

Could you explain in more detail what you mean by that, maybe on IRC. You left before I could ask you the other day.

Joo, you rock! ^.^
Queenie is pleased. :]]
Now tell me how I can have it?
I clicked the one under your sig, and it took me to air--which I assume is for mac air?
So I can have latest for XP plzz?

I think that's 'air' as in Adobe AIR. In other news, beware RAS Syndrome.

PS Can CantrSpy run on the Xandros Linux of the Eee PC?

Both versions run on XP, however the most complete one is 1.02 (doesn't require Adobe AIR, but only runs on Windows systems) so I would suggest trying that first.

tl;dr

The Adobe AIR version should, yes.

Cantr Spy is bugging for me or something...because it no longer lists which characters have new events when I wave my mouse over the little tray icon. If I had 3 or less it used to tell me :(

Which version is that?

I know that in Windows XP the system tray can get into a state (related to system focus, I think) where it stops showing tooltips. I suggest restarting your computer and/or explorer.exe if applicable.

And here I thought there was an upgrade, you bastage... yeah even in the wrong forum.

So when us "new adopters" getting an update, joo? :D Should I post this question some place else?

Well it seems I missed that post, Dudel, but now you get an answer!

CantrSpy 2.5

In essence I added the options to run on startup, as well as to store login details, enabling complete automation of the program (only really because I felt the need for it personally; I'm still waiting for an opportunity to make sure the program works properly on other operating systems, i.e. Mac and Linux, before I do anything more ambitious), but here's some copypasta from the changelog:

Code: Select all

Version 2.5.0
+ Added checkbox on login window which enables application to be set to run on startup (when that specific user logs in, technically).

Version 2.5.1
+ Added checkbox on login window enabling user credentials to be saved.
+ When the application is started with details saved, no login window will be displayed - the application will automatically begin logging in.
+ The saved details can be deleted by logging out and unchecking the "remember details" checkbox.
+ Details are saved when a login attempt is made with "remeber details" checked.
    - Fixed some minor errors.

TO DO:
    - Implement automatic updates
    - Implement window to show feedback while logged in
        - Enable ignoring of characters
    - etc...

As usual, please notify me of any bugs/sudden fits of desire you might experience to help test on a Mac or whatnot - the easiest way to contact me is to come into #h3ll and say my name.

The application could not be installed because the AIR file is damaged. Try obtaining a new AIR file from the application author.??

I tried re installing air and one of the other versions using it worked.

Oh... that's probably because it was still being uploaded at the time, and CoreFTP is taking a huge dump.

Edit: uploaded it by HTTP. Should be working now.

Ahh, I wont pretend I know what a CoreFTP is and what it does when it takes a dump but it's worked now and the new features are mega useful! Thanks Joo, Nice one
