Brunoi is another big center of power. Not as big as Alenz or Blojt, but it also doesn't have to worry about anyone taking them out. It's got lots of iron, rubber, etc., has a van, a few bikes, and much machinery. Recently it found that steel is temporarily un-producable, but that shouldn't be too much of a set back.

FYI. There is still 2 megagrams of mined iron in cantr.

I think it might have been 1.99 megagrams a week ago and now it's 1.98 megagrams.

There is some locked up potential.

This does not include partially built projects just free iron on people and in places.

Consider the thought of what all that iron could do if people used it for machines and tools.

"There is some locked up potential."

Hehe - :: rubs hands as he realises one of his characters seems to wandering in an undeveloped region ::

That character has actually become one of my favorites to play -- he's on his own now after he lost his travelling companion and has just be roaming the land making maps and a travel journal.

He spends a lot of time wondering if he'll ever find Iron : sigh :

Actually on a second note my char found that Maily Yum's policy in Seatown Forest was pretty reasonable and when he met up with her in Seatown actually came to a very good agreement to get the iron he needed to make some tools.

The "Start a project and I'll apply the iron" concept worked great.

Seatown Forest has grown pretty soft the last couple of cantr years, probably since the people-centered spawning.
Restricting foreigners from gathering valuable resources forces them to make deals...trade ...and that's one of the cornerstones of a society.
Seatown Forest has no stone, limestone or food, no animals either. I bet they would be willing to trade their precious iron for stuff like leather and the like.
The same goes for other towns. With the new iron/steel rules, trading will need to improve even for the old bastions of power located at the iron holding places.

Eventually all of the Karnon Island's growing pains will be basically over, hopefully. I can see a few possibilities for unifying the island fairly peacefully. Might be pretty cool.

All things considered with how K island is set up and with it's currant man power K island should be the most advanced lands in Cantr.

Blojt/Commonwealth is stagnating really as there is still no common ground for all citizens to pull towards, at least thats what it was like three years ago or something like that, when I had a character there regular.
Places are growing, think about the expedition from Tircqi to build a lighthouse & coastal harbour down in that there forest of some place.

Well it also is relatively new compared to the other two big continents. Those places have had since day one to grow and develope. Of course, most things that exist now were not even possible back then, but still, they have had a few decades on K island to advance.

Just two cents from someone who knows the metric system, if you mean a million grams, thats a kiloton.

And you guys seem to mix up most advanced and most industrious.
Cantr is a society simulator. Socially, Quillanoi is the most advanced IMO

KF has steel, yes, but they are very undevelopped.

You don't have to be a good supplier to be technologically advanced...being a good predator might do the trick as well.

Like it or not the clans of olipifirovash forest restrict the iron and wood, allowing only respectful visitors that are there to gather resources for personal use. They have always felt the need to protect the resources and have any who take from the forest to give back as well. the clans have killed 3 of their own members for setting up a manufacturing industry set on mass production of goods and raping of the land's resources for exportation.

It is believed that the iron has turned to hemetite because the forest itself is angry and protesting because the clans have relaxed the restrictions.

From what I have heard, Blojt isn't letting people join their town. Thats restricting things.
