Anyone care to discuss what happened yesterday? Anyone care to discuss why the server is still incredibly laggy?

Lots of processes stacked up. I saw eight of them... Usually there are 0, 1 or 2 processes going on, at most 3. So 8 was quite a lot o_O I hope the minutes will reset soon :/

Damn 8 processes? Is there any way to cause things to become less bogged down?

Just, please wait a few more hours. If it doesn't lag as much, DON'T play. It will only make it go back to lag, which will make people go offline again, which will make people go online again etc etc etc. That way it's only extra lag. I'm guessing minutes will reset normally again tommorow, at the next minute tick.. :S I hope, at least.

The finish.turn tick has occured already, so I doubt we'll receive today's minutes.

Make an announcement to player to try to avoid logging in too much.....

People are constantly relogging in though I bet to save their minutes.

Hence why my suggestion about temporarily halting minutes would help.

Plus if adding back minutes to a players account is a process that's helping to bog down the server, I fail to see why we should continue keeping the limited minutes rule.

Let's just suspend it for a week and see what happens!

Anyone care to shed some light on what happened (I know it's bogged down now catching up, I'm talking about the downtime).

I noticed flizzle.net was not responding to http either, but both were pinging crazy fast. I'm rather curious what happened!

I think the general consensus is that we don't know what's happening, but I do know it's being actively investigated.

some people may relogin constantly even when it is laggy and showing the site is down because of danger for some chars. it would suck to lose a char because the half hour window you coulda saved them in the site was down and the hour window after that they couldn't use the comp/net, is when they get beheaded :S
neways that's just a persay.
