Between the invention of the radio, cheap food, and watching half of his friends kidnapped or murdered, my poor character has become one of those nonagenarians with little joy or purpose left in life.
He occasionally has the stamina to wake up and tell a random story from the old days, and people will humor him. *scratchy old man voice* "I remember way back in 1100 when I had to work eleven years burying bodies for Mary Williams while waiting for the postmaster to return and give me my postal job.
