There is no auto-update yet. You have to install it yourself.

One thing i noticed in windows 7 with this application, is that the Icon shows up with the name "Macromedia Projector".

Yes. It's only version 2 which has auto-update, and even in that case the version which adds the updating functionality would need to be installed manually.

Oh, does it? Well, that could well be due to incompatibilities with the Shockwave player and Windows 7. I'd suggest using the AIR version for any windows version greater than XP, really.

In fact, it's probably because Windows 7 takes that text from the "application name" field of the executable, which I cannot set without hacking the file. If I republish this I may see about changing that though.

I get "Error: invalid server response"

When I try the download, the ID box won't let me fill it out. I'm on Windows XP (at work).

I've noticed for maybe 4 days that mine "freezes" once it's been in use for more than a few hours. I've been using 1.04 exclusively and this is unusual for it. I'm not sure what changed. Maybe tomorrow I'll fire it up on my work pc to see if it does the same thing. I used to be able to leave CantrSpy run non-stop without problems but now I find that when I come home it is stuck showing old info.

As always.... *nerd crushes on joo*

I miss this version. :( It stopped working for me, I could see which characters had activity not just the number of active characters. Anyone else able to use this one still?

Here is a fix!

CantrSpy 1.05

  • Fixed errors (arising due to server-side changes) caused by the client using HTTP and not HTTPS.
  • The "open player page" feature is not currently working. I considered it to be more effort than it was worth to implement it properly using HTTPS on this platform.

Is there any working version of cantrspy that has the alarm sound when a character is active?

I used to run both the old and the new CantrSpy at once because I wanted to get to my event page with 1 click -and- have the alarm.

I'm pretty sure this version still does the beep/alarm sound.

Ah, so it does! It uses the default system beep, but I had it in mind to change it to a user-selectable sound.

Yay thank you! :D I like this 1.05 much better.

Edit: There's the login to player page big smiley face missing though on this version.

Any chance we could get left mouse-click = open character page, right = open cantrspy menu? And maybe right-click could include the ticks like it did on old versions.

Oh, wait, I see opening the character page doesn't work at all currently. That's a shame. I always have to log in all over again when I open Cantr manually.

In this version of CantrSpy... most probably not. However, those features are still present in CantrSpy 2.
