CantrSpy 1.04

Postby joo » Thu Dec 18, 2008 12:44 am

I have not changed much, except that by double-right-clicking on the tray icon, you can automatically log in to Cantr and open the player page in a browser window.

I have not tested this very extensively, so if any errors are found, please make me aware.

CantrSpy 0.5 - New features:
  • The icon now has a tooltip which shows the names of the characters with new events, or in the case that this would be longer than 64 characters, just the number of characters (not my fault, blame Microsoft).

That is all.

Certainly. The interface is very basic, just a login box. Most of the time it will be minimised to the tray where it will show an icon to notify the user if they have any new events or not.

And this is what the tray interface looks like:

Also, see http://www.cantr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15207 (the topic for CantrMonitor) and http://www.cantr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16256 to see how it came to be made.

This is really quite handy.

CantrSpy 0.6!

As you can see, I have extended the main interface to include a status field, which shows a full list of characters with new events as well as other information, and a button which can be used as an alternative to double-right-clicking the tray icon to launch the player page.

Full list of changes:
  • Added status field and player page button.
  • Fixed several text inconsistencies.
  • Added the capability to automatically reconnect should an error occur and the server later come back online (it is no longer neccesary to relogin after the client disconnects).

RAR - http://www.mediafire.com/?zijmftmymwm

As always, please report any errors to me.

Joo,

One thing that would totally sell me on your monitor (other than a Mac version) would be if you could exclude certain characters from tripping the monitor. Say, if you have workers that you don't want to check so much, but have an active character that you do want to check, you could exclude all the workers so only the one you want sets off the monitor. I would find that very useful, and it would help my RL productivity a lot.

I thought of something like that too. But it's already a great improvement that you can see who's having an event.
