To make steel, you have to have salt. Which on the main island, can only be found one place. Which is really annoying. They at least have to make salt more readily available.

One process to make leather uses the animals brain, I've done it myself once! In fact each animal brain is large enough to process the animal's hide. Since we kill the animal I would assume we also have access to its brain. Making of leather also involves the use of bark containing tannins or you can use tea. We should have more options than the current one to make leather.

We should probably have to make some kind of rack to stretch the hide before scraping before further processing.
