This could be weird...

Okay, I think one of my charries is about to stumble upon another one of mine...

Shes been wandering randomly and someone who just overtook her on the road has arrived in a town with another of my characters in.

How am I supposed to handle something like this?
Should my charries interact or ignore each other?

It's better to ignore unless there's a good reason for them to notice each other. Not like "hey, there's my long lost brother!" - definitely not. Just treat each other like it was a character played by someone else.

The safe way would be to avoid interaction between both characters altogether. Either by ignoring each other or by letting one character fall asleep for the time of the visit. If they have to interact, make sure that it doesn't look like a CRB, that is, neither character should derive an advantage from the encounter.

Tis a pity though, they could both stay totally IC and they'd adore each other...

Oh well

I guess there's nothing wrong with talking as long as there's no exchange of information that could be valuable for one of the characters.

This happened with two of my characters. They were both in the same town for a while, and mostly ignored each other. I basically tried to keep the fact that I was playing the other character out of my mind, and allow the situation to progress naturally. Of course, there was no interaction between my characters, but I got contacted by the PD when they both helped someone to drag a body...

But surely thats not CRB so long as both characters would do that naturally?

No, but PD still has to check.

Actually, he is not allowed to use both his char to move someone. It gives an unfair advantage whether or not they would normally help out..

Why not? I don't see the unfair in that. If a char needs help and both of your chars would normally help, why don't? It's not something that would be valuable to any of your chars, is it? (depends on situation, but let's say it isn't)

Hey I dont make the rules, but it is the way it is.. Your chars can't cooperate like that with the other. Gives unfair advantages that others wouldn't have had. Believe me, I have done the same thing and have gotten contacted by the players department. Heck 4 years ago I was part of that department..

Okay, but I still think it's a bit strange...the chars aren't cooperating, just helping another char dragging... Anyone else that have an answer on that?

Mikki is correct.

The only advantage I can see that could be gained from that is the fact that both characters are awake at the same, and thus the object being dragged gets dragged faster than if there had been a delay between the characters joing - however in this case I did leave about an hour before checking the other character (for that reason).
