Heart Attacks?

Postby Helmaroc » Thu Jul 10, 2008 4:22 am

I know they are a result of someone canceling their account, but aren't there random ones as well? Could someone clear up my confusion, please?

Heart attacks occur when a player unsubscribes their account or when pd deletes a character at a player's request or in a few other situations. These are not just random events.

Ah, thank you. The reason I thought they could be at times was that often the ones who die seem to be avid players...but that goes both ways. I suppose some players can't stop unless they totally cut if off...

Might as well hold this oppurtunity: To who should we talk about this "deleting" of certain charries, and how should I contact them? I really didn't got it right by that IG message. Thank you...

So does this mean that Cantrians can effectively live forever?

They will die from heart attack 20 days after the player behinds them dies. Unless a new player can be found and PD say it is okay before the 20 days have gone.

For some reason, that makes no sense at all to me. What?

If noone log in for 20 days all characters will die. Unless the account is on-leave.

Oh. Well I knew that.

I was asking if Cantrians could live forever, provided they had food, and a player that logged in regularly.

I don't think any character has yet lived long enough to find out. The oldest charry i've met is about 100 years old. There was talk of dying of old age before, but I can't remember what came of it.

Also, when tiredness was caused by sneezing/project working, people could die of heart attacks from working too hard, and also having the plague. It made it a lot more dangerous, but seeing as cures are rare, it was turned off i think... might be wrong.

Well, I would be fine with like dying when tiredness reach 100%, but I personally would hate old age being implemented.
When you hope for something, you often believe in something. When you believe in something, you often have pride in it. Being proud often leads to a hating of some group.
As you can see, the Jedi are hypocrites.

I wouldn't like old age either. It creates a time limit. A long one, yes, but still a set limited time you can play that character before it dies.

There's no reason for Cantrians to die of old age...

What SCUBA wanted to say was that the maximum age of a character is limited by the life expectancy of its player. If a player can't log in for the reason of being dead, his or her characters will die 20 days later, if the account is not transfered to someone else. The effective maximum age of a character is thus limited to about 1500 years.
Pretty in pink.
