This is the longest I am going to be gone from cantr, for tweleve days. I wanted to make this thread to let the people who know my characters that, so I am not quitting. Also, for a tweleve day period would I put my account on vacation mode? And would it be alright it with my characters I told the people around me in an ooc message about me leaving? Well, my characters that live are:
EDIT: Edited out character list to try to keep some hidden.
I will be always missing this game I am sure, but I know that when I return, I can get back on Cantr.

12 days won't cause your account to time out.

I think, when using vacation mode, your account will time out as soon as the vacation period you specify ends.

So, if you set it for 12 days vacation, exactly 12 days later your account will time out, so I always err on the side of caution when using vacation mode by setting it to the maximum.

tell them in game ... just tell someone around you... a whisper is usually best... that you will be sleepy for awhile
make sure you have more than enough food... and work on a long project

Well, if I set for say 20 days, can I get back on during those 20 days?

yes, you can still play your characters as long as you go back into your profile and change your vacation settings to say that you're back. Once you change that, you can play your characters again. If you're still on vacation and don't know when the next time you'll be able to check, you can reset the vacation setting anytime. You can do this as many times as you want. At least, that's how I did it last summer when I went out of country.

No, it wouldn't time out until the normal time after you last log in, no matter what you have your days set to (as long as they're under the normal timeout time). IE, it won't time out if you put it on 5 days vacation and don't check after 5 days. It probably would if you set the vacation to 30 days though and didn't get back in time.

And you just log in as normal if you have it set on vacation (you don't have to change them when you log in in the middle of the time you set, at least you didn't when I used it); just remember to reset the vacation days when you log out again.

I am off again sadly. Only 5 days this time, but I will be away once more. I will be back though.

I don't know if we have a official vacation thread so I guess I'll just have to hi-jack this one.

I'll be on vacation for three weeks and won't (most likely) have any internet access. Just in case anyone wonders where I've gone .

(My account is "on the leave" so my characters should be save.)

Ok, I'm going on vacations too. I'll be out the next three or four weeks, and I don't know if I'll have access to the internet or not, so I might even be lucky and manage to come here sometimes during these weeks, but don't count on it... I'm telling this just in case there's an open place at ProgD that you want me to occupy. Well, since marginoferror is probably a much better option than myself, I suppose that if that were to happen, he'd be the first choice... And I really wish he was promoted, I bet that'd speed up my own promotion a lot...

Well, I thought I was going to be the first hijacker, but it seems I was beaten to it.

I'm having connection problems, but only with the Cantr website, I'm blaming my ISP because using trace route the connection seems to get as far as one of their servers and no further, so in the mean time I'm using a browser based proxy to access the forums and game, but I may not be as active because it's a real pain at the moment.

Also, I'm going to Dublin for a few days on holiday with my family, so I'll be away from Tuesday to whenever we come back (I can't remember, I'm assuming we're coming back )
