The Empty Places

(Emptyplaces meaning lapodamun and all that) Were they just created so that unfortunate sailors end up there and end up going mad because no one is there. Seriously every single place is a like a ghost town, and you do get the picture that everyone there is mad because when you ask them a question they either dont reply or hit you for no aparant reason.

Wait a minute ... is Lapudanum a Dutch place?? That is definitely not supposed to be the case ... At least, not until actual Dutch settlers would sail that way, and I know they didn't ...

The names are made up from Jos' crooked imagination. I don't think he had real life languages on his mind when he did them but he did admit once that a lot of places were Russian places spelt backwards (see old Yahoo! Board).

Ah, you gave me a little shock here

... But ok. It's interesting to hear that those places have such a different character from the other ones.
The cause is the change in the spawning system. There were quite a few starting locations there, so that it would have grown fairly busy. But then we changed to a system where spawning depends on the number of people already there, and since the island was fairly new, there is a relatively smaller chance to end up there.
The best solution is to help us find more players :p
And none of the place names in Cantr are Dutch

... They are all random names invented by me, although they tend to sound a bit more Russian at times than anything else. Simply because I really like Russian

I knew it has something to do with Russian.
