Lost at sea, over 26 years now... spotted a ship! So I stopped for a couple of days... no dinghy, no crowbar anyways... but the ship didn't move... I wonder.. did I find your ship? Did you die at sea...?
The Ship name started with Ss..... PM me?

It's against the rules to post that stuff, assuming that he followed the same course all the time instead of sailing around in a circle.

Out of curiousity, has anyone discovered Captain Hobbes' treasure ship, the Naron Navigator?

I think I'm beginning to understand why some people don't think it is right to talk about anything in-game on the forums.

No idea and if someone did I doubt they'd tell.
One of my chars is about to try his hand at salvage for a while. Viewers help a lot.

Most likely it was found by a Polish person who doesn't follow the English forums and has no idea of where Naron is. At least on some regions you can't leave a ship unguarded for a moment without it getting broken into. Like stereotypical New York.

Well, if they told me by PM I'm sure it won't be problematic given I unsubscribed over a year ago

I'm sorry, I'm a little loss: What do you mean by 'salvage' and 'viewer'?

Good comic strip idea, eh?

Viewers = binoculars, telescopes, spyglasses I would assume. They show you a wider range.
Leaving a boat somewhere for a second and getting it stolen would make a good storyline but it's a bit of a wrong region for that. Although that gives me an idea. It might take a couple of episodes at least before I can use it in the comic but I'll try to keep it in mind.

I bet Hobbes would have loved one of those.

Razor, IT would've saved a LOT of time/distance
There's a picture of him with one, which was a slight OOC breach at the time--I claimed it was a sword--but perhaps he was so bored one day off his rocker that he invented one of those "viewers" and that's how they came into existence in the Cantr world. Or somebody else did and merely became more popular for it just like RL.
Or he dreamt of it, but it never came to fruition.

Salvage means finding ghost ships, most in open waters I assume, since they would be spotted pretty quickly on/near coastlines.
I haven't done anything like that yet and if I find a good strategy that works, I'm not likely to tell either.

One of my characters has done that, it was easier when there was a bug that made it possible to ignore the lock on the ship you were docked to. Unfortunately at the same time there was another bug that might make boats warp to the other side of the island when undocking so there was a lot of messing up.
