I mean... the size of the speed line in Cantr ships.

The black one is an English raker.
The orange one is an Spanish raker.

8)

It is really WEIRD that Spanish players have several rakers full sailed (I know about two), and I have seen only non-sailed rakers in the region of Pok and Cantr islands... given that English have hemp and Spanish only cotton. Moreover the the huge difference in number of players.

I mean... every ship near Cantr island could be full-sailed with little effort. With cotton, it is around six times harder to make the required ten kilos of sailcloth.

Hemp is not actually that common in EZ, and not in fact found on both of those islands. That English raker looks pretty laden, too.

Rakers are common in polish zone. Sails too, now. And radios in most cities, and even in ships and vehicles. Radio range connect isles together...
Pirates have hard time when hunted by sailed rakers with people who have telescopes and radio contact between ships, and with cities. Really.

The problem is with infrastructure. the places with hemp are usually not near oil or resin and sailors doesn't have any land transport and are reluctant to wander by foot.
I know of several places where you can buy sails though, but it's a complex matter so prices reflect that.
I am however proud to say that one of my chars now has a fully rigged boat. The trouble is that it goes so fast that you almost have to get a viewer of some kind.

Those additional incentives for telescopes, etc. were considered when myszaq and I designed the sails. :-)

Right, that's why I made the sails, to go half speed. Silly me, I could have saved those 80 days of work making the sails.

I own one english Raker that has all but one sail (and is only missing one log for the final one) and another of of my people has all the materials but has yet to actually sit down and make it all.

In polish zone i seen ports where sailors can buy sails, telescopes, radios, sekstents, wood for cabins ets. In one word - shipyards. And car factories. Resources isn't problem. Organisation and coordination - is. Of course, sailors must can pay high price
