What gives you a buzz about Cantr????

We all hang around, some claim to be addicted with this game, but there seems to be loads of moans and groans going on.
So what do you love about the game, what aspect of it gives you a buzz?
For me the thing that still excites me is seeing a character I know well from playing one character and then seeing them through another characters eyes..
It can be through spawning a new character in a familiar area, although that can prove a little disappointing, but its way more fun when a cantrian from one character's world enters the world of another, either hunting a thief, trading or just exploring...
Just love the opportunity to see a different side of them.
What about you?

Funny odd stuff like locks on the ground and old vehicles with features that can no longer be made.
I also like realising that a character of mine has mapped a big area like no one else previously has. Or any other longsighted achievement.
The "Wow! I've actually accomplished all this shit" feeling is something I don't get from regular MMORPGs where the feeling is more like, "Damn, if I had spent this much time on a career I'd be a millionaire by now".

I like living out the various aspects of my personality that get buried in real life.

What keeps me playing?
The bond i've grown with my chars, the bonds they've grown with other chars and how their lives are developing.
Being able to do things that are impossible in real life, even though a lot of the societies are similar.
Or it could be that i don't have much of a social life and Cantr fills in for that.

many things, i like the versatility that you can make your own goals instead of them being preset like most rpg's, i also like how there is not a single NPC in the whole game, knowing that behind each character is a real human mind wether it be taking satisfaction from the thought of them beatting thier head against the monitor because you killed them, or sharing glory in the game and knowing your accomplishments are seen by people and you're not lost in a world of AI's
it may not be a huge graphics game but i love the mapping and how you can explore and map new areas
it keeps my mind active, can you believe this game gives me damn homework!
there's more things but this is long enough to give an idea

i absoluetly can. I spent a few hours one day pouring over every note one of my english charries had in PZ, trying to translate a map from polish to english. that was a lot of work, because first i had to figure out which of the 5 maps he had actually was the one for the area he was in.
so i was really really bored that day...

I like being able to make things. Just as simple as that.
My characters can take some iron and turn it into a shovel. There's no way that
I could take some iron and wood and make a shovel from it. I love living vicariously through them.
I also love how long lived everyone is. All of my chars are in their twenties. It still amazes me ever time they see a person "that is very old." That's an insane amount of time.
I know someone already said it, but I really like the no NPC thing. One of my chars would get really annoyed if there were some, since they would probably be everywhere, and he likes the idea of being where there is no one.
I'm sold on this game. I'm in for the long haul.

ughh... and cleaning up notes...
I put so much effort into making maps ._. Links to each section of the map... takes me forever! (Chinese Charrie)

I like writing, and I used to get these sudden urges to write, but I'd just sit there with a pen in my hand, feeling silly because I had nothing really to write about.
Cantr changes that. It gives me a base to have fun with, and since other players control the other characters, it lets me not have to worry about story lines as much. Works great in that regard.
Outside of that, I've always had an interest in business games and in politics. This merges both of those into a (nearly) real-time situation.
