Because those mountains are connected to the desert.
What about the hills? This has mucked my charrie up.. Sad
Tortoises have not been allowed in hills for many, many months. Residual tortoises have been removed.
The entire ecosystem of Treefeather will be changing in a week or so, and I imagine it will "muck up" some things, but people will adapt, and the game will be better for it.

Why are you removing the animals first before putting in replacements? There are locations that depend on hunting. It can be a hard time to wait the weeks before replacement meat will be added.
The entire ecosystem might become better, but I don't understand why you are making the change harder than needed.

Tortoises are one of most unique and interesting animals I ever seen in cantr. Unique resource, eggs, no bones, not so easy to kill, but harmless... And there are not so common. In polish zone we dont have any. I have few english chars, one was always excited by hunting these tortoses, that was making game more fun for me. They dissapear without word just becose somone in departaments dont like them of thing that they dont fit it this city (they were protected).
What about creating few kinds of tortoised? Big ones in location connected to sea, desert ones in deserts and near areas, some small kinds on whole island, even mountains... There shoud be one or two island fameous from tortoises, and there shoud be like 4 diffrends tortoises there. Only these isle/island but in there in bigger number and easy visible, to make diversity.
