 Great... now I'll have that old tune stuck in my head for the rest of... uhm... well, until another annoying tune replaces it lol
And yeah, text's right on the spot, even if lately there have been times with no or little lag, I';ve seen that change at the drop of a hat.
One moment you're cruising through Cantr at warp 99.9, next moment it goes faster if you open up notepad and type in the php and other coding yourself, upload it to a remote server, and load that in your browser.
Okay, so I'm over-exhaggerating... bite me.

I take 5-7 minutes to load one page. Okay, maybe like 2-3 minutes.

I couldn't even sing that song.

What is the deal with the lag on public statistics pages? Even when everything else is loading quickly, the stats take 2-3 minutes to arrive. It's as if the Cantr host starts counting things at the moment you request them (instead of periodically updating a database).

It shouldn't be the animals this time, since the total pop is now capped below the critical mass required to induce lag.

The lag in Cantr is a very difficult-to-solve issue. There are MANY factors involved. Analyzing each one alone is not enough, given that there are interactions among them.

Although lag is only intermittent, it drives me mad. Unfortunately, I tend to have little and very specific moments for connecting, and 2 or 3 minuts per page means I can't play at all.

Cantrfreak, most probably you have heard it, look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surfin_bird. Or listen to the "Full Metal Jacket" movie OST (among others).

Yes, lets all sing in unison with a new tune for todays laggin.

You never open your pages anymore when I read your words
And there's no speediness like before in your fingertips
You're trying hard not to slow it, baby
But baby, baby I know it

You've got that laggin' feeling
Whoa, that laggin' feeling
You've got that laggin' feeling
Now my time has, gone, gone, wooooooh
Now there's no welcome look in your screens when I reach for you
And now your're starting to slow lag all the little things I do
It makes me just feel like crying, baby
'Cause baby, something in you is slowing

Baby, baby, I get down on my key's for you
If you would only speed up like you used to do, yeah
We had a speed, a speed, a speed you don't find everyday
So don't, don't, don't, don't let it lag away

Bring back that speedy' feeling
Whoa, that speedy' feeling
Bring back that speedy' feeling
'Cause my time has gone, gone, gone

And I can't log on, no, no, no

Bring back that speedy feeling
Whoa, that speedy feeling
Bring back that speedy feeling
'Cause my time's chewed up and gone, gone, gone
And I can't log on, no, no, no
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent and Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.

*bows down in awe* lol.... how true, how true...
Go on, copyright them lyrics, quick!

And I've found that the "time" shown at the bottom of the page isn't always accurate - I've once sat here with a stopwatch which measured more than two minutes of time elapsed since I clicked something, and the script said it took "only" 32 seconds.
And I was loading other pages in two other tabs, those loaded at normal speed, so it wasn't my connection that sucked (which was a welcome change, actually... lol...)
